Hello Stefano,
We found an issue with the installer which causes an issue if you are upgrading to 10.3.4 from 10.3.3 running any previous hotfix.  In these circumstances, the D3 10.3.4 installer does not replace the files that were copied into the D3Programs directory by the hotfix with the new ones needed for 10.3.4.  We will probably be changing the way we distribute hotfixes in the future to prevent this from happening.  In the meantime, the solution is to uninstall D3 10.3.3 prior to installing 10.3.4 if you have any hotfixes loaded.  This warning has been posted on the download page and in the ReadMe document.  The D3 10.3.4 installer is again available for download.

thank you for the detailed answer.

Will unistall remove all files? If not, will setup detect D3 as "non installed"  and will proceed with "full install" (i mean overwrite file in this case)

I have a lot of files set as DX, not really important just there for testing and I wolud wish to avoid the job to set tne D, i k,ike more a "in place upgrade", so I wish to try this to avoid full unistall this way:

1. file-save
2. copy of D3Database folder
3. stop D3
4. restore original files (I saved them, as suggested).
5. run 10.3.4 setup

Any comment?

Just looked at the downloads. Is there no simple patch or do I have to uninstall 10.3.3 on every system just to upgrade them?

If you're already on version 8, which I believe you are since you're running 10.3.3, I believe you can upgrade in place, but I'll have to check with others to verify. I've now done 5 upgrades from D3 Linux 10.3.3 to 10.3.4
Some notes:

1. The pick0 file is not overwritten, however you must select option 2 to modify and then just go to the hard disk selection and tab through it without changes. Otherwise, d3 will not see the disk.

2. You have to start the activation process, but only enter the correct serial number for the system and ctrl-x. The user pool is unchanged from what it was before the upgrade.

3. Best to restore DM as OLD-DM to retrieve all the customization you made to the old SYSPROG account.
