    10.5.0 Highlights include:

    General Enhancements

    Security upgrades

    • The OpenSSL version in Rocket Modern Experience has been upgraded to 3.3.2, effectively addressing known security vulnerabilities and enhancing overall security.
    • The Jetty version in the Rocket MX and Automation (MX&A) workbench, Rocket API engine, and the MX&A gateway is upgraded to version 12.
    • The curl.exe tool used in Rocket MX & Automation setups has been updated to version 8.9.1 to address security vulnerabilities and enhance reliability.

    MX & Automation Hub

    • The MX&A Hub now offers a modern, intuitive dashboard that provides a unified view of all your environments and application statuses. The dashboard features improved bar charts for MX Web Engine statistics, detailed API transaction metrics, and new filtering and customization options.
    • The MX&A Hub, Docker images and the setup files now leverage Tomcat 10, delivering improved performance and support.

    Rocket Process Insights

Enhanced error handling in API services

    • This new feature allows for comprehensive error reporting for exceptions handled during the execution of an API service, providing users with better insights into errors encountered.
    • Users can now assign custom error codes and messages to each exception, tailoring responses to specific scenarios.
    • Similar exceptions can be grouped using regular expressions, with configurable HTTP codes and messages for each group, simplifying error management and response handling.

    User Experience Enhancements

    • When creating an API service in Process Insights, you can visualize the shortest, most efficient paths that users take to enter and exit a process scenario. This visual representation of Startup and Closedown that aids in verifying automated steps, can now be accessed immediately at the beginning of the API service creation.
    • The Previous and Next navigation buttons for Business Processes are now aligned with Heatmap filters, enhancing the consistency and intuitiveness of user interactions.

    Rocket Modern Experience

    New JavaScript Page-Screen framework (Beta)

    • A structured JavaScript framework is now available for Rocket MX Web applications, offering better organization and reusability.
    • Scripts can now be created on web page objects, with event code stored separately from page XML, making them more accessible and reusable for multiple objects.
    • Enable this Beta feature in the workbench by selecting Configure > Convert to MX Web Page and Screen Objects project (Beta).

    Optimized Container List Performance

    • The performance of container lists has been enhanced through code refactoring in the client. This improvement is particularly noticeable with large lists, such as those generated by subfile collections, services, or database queries, resulting in faster processing and smoother user experiences.

    Session resume auto-reconnect timer

    • The MX Web client now supports an auto-reconnect timer for session resume. On disconnection, the client can automatically attempt to reconnect after a configured number of seconds, eliminating the need for users to manually respond to the 'connection lost' dialog
    • The new servlet setting, session_resume_autoreconnect_timer, allows users to control the reconnection interval. The 'connection lost' dialog remains enabled by default

    Other Enhancements

    • Optimized REST Service Performance: OIS REST service calls and HTTPRequestSend scripts now utilize a new library, improving performance by caching connections for repeated API calls.
    • Enhanced Docker Images: MX Web Docker images now include a health check feature, ensuring better reliability and monitoring.
    • Improved Logging: Keep-alive message logs now include session IDs and additional details for NonBlocking sessions, making it easier to track and interpret concurrent session logs.

Thank you for trusting your business to Rocket Software. Together, we power legendary outcomes for your company and your customers.
