HI, I have a question about the license manager. The situation is as follows. The company has a significant number of users who are on a local network. The centralized application has already been managed on the server. We are now presented with the problem with the license, which is also located on the server.

The only way we have found is to install the license manager on each user machine.

We believe there should be another solution that allows you to read the license without installing the handle (DLM) on each machine.

You could help me with this.

I am no expert on this, but we use the $LICENSE_OPTIONS setting on the assignment file to point to the license server via port 7188 (I believe this is the standard) e.g.

[SETTINGS]

$license_options=LM_LICENSE_FILE=PORT@SERVERNAME 

There is information in the Uniface Library CHM which explains this further.
