    Hello everybody,

    From the Uniface 10 help:

"A project is a collection of references to main development objects. It is used to create and organize components, modeled entities, and libraries that are needed to build the application"

In my particular case I would like to add a "menu object" to my project. I know, this is not a main development object...
But shouldn't it be possible to do this in order to completely maintain a "project"? Does anybody know if there's anything planned to extend it?

    Best regards

    Hello Michael,

There are plans to do this. For this to happen the "classic" more editors need to be replaced by new IDE editors and the related main development objects need to be integrated in the Project editor.

With the patch 10.4.01-006 a first step has been done to extend the existing functionality: new options have been added to $ude("export") to export referenced objects and projects. More will follow, hopefully soon.

    Best regards

    Hi Daniel,

to use the Projects as "Single point of Export" it should be possible to a "single" Objects.
Only one Message not all Messages.
Only one global Proc Script not the hole library.
    And so on...

    Best Regards

    Hi Norbert,

As Michael quoted in his initial post:

"A project is a collection of references to main development objects. It is used to create and organize components, modeled entities, and libraries that are needed to build the application"

A message is not a main development object, a message library is. That's the reason why it is not possible to add a single message (or other single library objects) to a project. The same will be true for menus. Meaning a menu library can be added to a project, but not a single menu. Maybe this will change in future versions, but at the moment this is how projects work in Uniface 10.

I hope this clarifies this matter.

    Best regards,
