Hello Forum Team,

I hope everything is very well, I have the following question:

Does Aldon LMe has connection to  allows version control for Oracle source code for the Developer Suit 11G tool or higher?  (Forms -including menus and libre- and Reports), APEX components, and database objects from 11g onwards (packages, procedures, functions , triggers, restrictions, among others).

I have a customer could buy LMe but I have doubts if Oracle can connect with LMe.

If you have any documentation on the subject, you can share it with me, it would be fantastic.

Best Regards,
Miguel

Hola, Miguel.

I've also ported this question to a support case for further review.
My initial comments are below...

This 'Designer' appears to be near or at end of life?  If this is sunset functionality or application, I don't know that this is something we would pursue developing.  Searching online and seeing "Oracle...stop Oracle 11g extended support on December 31st, 2020."

I'm not finding 'Designer' after this version (10g):

https://www.oracle.com/database/technologies/developer-tools/designer.html

I'm seeing that they do support a plugin to VS code for sql development, but I'm not initially seeing 'hooks' for source control via git.

https://docs.oracle.com/en/database/oracle/developer-tools-for-vscode/getting-started/gettingstarted.html

You may be able to find out more from your prospect, but I don't see external version control options from the information I was able to access.

As to what we could support: For customers that have managed sql updates in Oracle or other databases, we do support management and deployment of scripts and our deployment processes may exercise pre- or post-installation commands to apply updates.

Please let us know if you have more info available or have further questions and we can work through your support case.

Best,

Dale
