Button vsize

Hi, In the Uniface blog-examples (Modernizing Uniface 9.7) a button is usually set to vsize=85. Lets say CommandButton=ucmdbutton(representation=Uniface;cursor=uhand;frametype=Flat;framewidth=1;framecolor=black;font=IDFButtonText; labelfont=IDFButtonText;vsize=85;autolabel=F;position=center;valign=center) In a 9.7 migrated application, using CommandButton in the forms, some buttons are smaller than others, some probably using vsize 85% and some 100% although in all forms the buttons are default defined as “Widget properties -> Vertical Button Size – Percentage = 100%”. In the form one can decrease the percent and then again up to 100%, and then the button uses 100% in all cases. Setting ini-file vsize=100 also makes the button use 100%. As the vsize is set to 85% in ini-file, does anyone know when the button uses 85% vs 100% ? Regards RogerW. PS. Moved from Uniface10 forum.

Hi Roger, This happens to me a lot when I edit the properties of a button on the Form. When you are not extremely careful you will create an external variation of the property setting it to 100%. Frown Regards, Theo

Hi Theo, Having been on vacation, I haven't seen on this for some weeks. However I think my concern was primarly that this is always set to 100% in Uniface form, even if you try to leave it empty. So what's the use putting anything in the ini-file as Uniface-form seem to override it? Or as i explained, it's not always overriding it, but I don't understand how to make a button in a form not overriding the ini-file? Regards RogerW.

Now I was on vacation... It seems any change on the property form Form puts 100% in the external properties, thereby overriding the .ini file I consider this a bug in the property form. (Can you please report the bug? Bugs from customers have a higher priority in the system. I know that is inconvenient, but that is out of my control)  Regards, Theo

Hi Theo, It's not a problem for me as I know how it works. I was just surprised about the different size of the buttons of my forms. But, I can report the bug. Regards RogerW.
