Dropdownlist-Widgets smaller than others
Author: juerg.fross@teamspirit.ch (jfro)
Hi all We migrated our application on Uniface 9.4.01.02 under Windows7. It seems that in this version the Dropdownlists are 1 or 2 pixels smaller than the other widgets. Is this a known problem? Thanks to all Jürg
Hi Jürg, Could it be that there is a difference in the [widgets] or [sceen] sections of you ini file? I remeber there where some changes regarding widget/fonts needed in the upgrade to Uniface 9 Regards, Dennis

Not sure if this is it but worth trying: If your are using the 3D property, try setting DrawOutside to True.,

Hi Theo, What is the purpose of the Draw Outside property? When I set it to true nothing happened. I expected that the list will expand to the length of the longest text that appears in the list. But it doesn't happen. Thanks, Yaron

If I remember correctly it draws the border of the widget outside of the widget instead of inside. So you gain a pixel or two more room for your text. It only works/helps when you are using the 3D border. It has nothing to do with the length of the text. Maybe it helps if you post a picture of your old and new situation. BTW: Do your Uniface 7 and Uniface 9 version run on the same version of Windows?
