The HtML widget is not intended to be a full blown web browser, but it merely is a HTML renderer that also can execute JavaScript. Additional functionality might be inherited from Chromium (respectively CEF3), but it can be changed or removed without notice, and is not maintained or supported by Uniface. By default the web security is enabled in CEF3, which is good, and this option (currently) cannot be changed for the HTML widget.
The HTML widget also has other restrictions that are documented in the topic about the HTML Widget (uhtml).
I hope this clarifies this matter.

Subject: HTML widget: Settings for CEF (disable same origin policy)
Hello everybody,
I have to disable the "same origin policy" for a particular application running in the HTML widget.
Chrome for example can be started with the "-disable-web-security" option.
Does anybody of you know how to set this for the HTML widget?
Best regards
