    Hi all

We recently migrated from Uniface 9.7 to UNIFACE 10.4.
The Dev team is a bit unsettled by the new IDE interface...
A lot of new and very good improvements indeed.
But some details are strange and over all very uncomfortable..
    Examples:
1> We have forms with numerous fields in several enities.
=> Too bad it's not possible to close (reduce) the entity nesting tree on the left
2> Same thing on the right window:
We have numerous included operations and it's not possible to reduce the very long list of operations
In this list are grouped the included opérations , the global procs, the triggers of the form (store retrieve etc )
Really uncomfortable that  it is not possible to group and reduce the list of operations by type for example , and  reducing with a tree widget.

3> Why the snippets proposed on the left side  are not contextuals ?
for the new developpers in our teams , it's  possibly  a very frequent source of errors ...

for example, what is the Interest of proposing snipet "detail"  at the level of a form ?

Do you think these things can rapidly evolved in the next releases of IDE ?    (over all the reducing tree capabilities ...)

Thank you for your help !
    Daniel

Sadly it has been like this since 10 first came out so it seems unlikely that there will be any possibility of significant improvement. I haven't had much exposure to U10 but at the very least I would prefer to have the option to turn the snippet screen off altogether (maybe its there I don't know).

Uniface has always been a tool that we could modify to suit our purposes at some level.  They do occasionally come out with details that allow us to do this - for instance the ability to replace the front page. If we could replace the individual screens associated with these issues it would be great. However as they are tab pages in the cases mentioned, it makes the transactions and calls associated with replacement a little problematic. It may end up being a case like we normally do of trial and error DIY.
