Hi all, Happy Monday Morning ;)

I am looking for help with an AWForm. Hopefully some of you are pretty good at this interface. I did look through what I have as documentation and did not see this information listed but - we undoubtedly have old and incomplete docs.

We have quite a few awforms in use, and I see examples of columns in many. What I am trying to do however is to load the data into a table format such that excel would use. Namely we want the lines between the MV data vertically and horizontally. While a tab will move between cells in the created form, passing in a tab at the end of the first line did not separate the data from MV1 to MV2. There is a horizontal line at the bottom of the array, but not between each line of data.

Suggestions?? Here is what my form looks like:

Kathleen, we also use AWForms for our PO, Invoices, Statements, checks and a few other forms.   We use version 4.8.14 (You can see your version in the the AWFORMS program).   Which emulator do you use with AWForms?  We use wIntegrate. I have not attempted to do what you are describing. Do you have their AWFORMS.TEST program? If not I can send you a copy.

Hi Peter! Thanks for the reply. We use accuterm with AWForms. I do have
their current documentation - I wrote the company itself. I have asked them
also how I could do this but have not yet received an answer.

The notes in the docs say they created the vertical lines on the form with
a tool. What I want is horizontal lines between MV sets to make them easier
to read a lot of data.

Do you remember how green bar used to help readability? That basic concept.
But the line I would need would depend on how many rows of data for each
given mv entity - as a simple example take part number and description.
part number 123 could have a single short description that would fit on one
line so after part 123 then the next line would be a horizontal 'line' of
underscores or whatever. The next part may have a long description that
wraps so it would need two printed data lines before the horizontal visual
delimiter. The third part may have 4 sub valued lines of data in the
description field so it would print 4 lines of data before the visual
    delimited line, etc.

I was hoping for a simple way to load this data, obviously I can code it
all but then, in this case, AWForms doesn't do any of the lifting so isn't
    helpful.

Kathleen, from what I recall when we first started using AWForms was that the template has to be created the way you want the document to look like.

I just created a a simple document an inserted a table with 7 columns then I entered data into each cell and the data wrapped within that one cell.

To accomplish this go to the Table Properties, then Cell tab, then Options and then check on the Wrap Text box.
