2022 was a significant year for Rocket DevOps as far as innovation is concerned.

We released two new IBM i products: Rocket DevOps portal (our DevOps orchestration & reporting portal and API provider) and Rocket DevOps test (our integrated IBM i+ testing solution).

In response to feedback from customers, we added a major new function to LMi: Change File Whilst Active (this can reduce the downtime associated with structural database changes from hours/days to minutes).

At the end of 2022, to reflect the evolution of Rocket DevOps and make it easier for our customers to upgrade, we rebranded our core DevOps products. So, in November 2022 and starting from release 10.2, Lifecycle Manager for IBM i (LMi) became Rocket DevOps core for IBM i (RDOi) and Lifecycle Manager for Enterprise (LMe) became Rocket DevOps core for Enterprise (RDOe).

Our innovation story continues strongly as we move into 2023. This year, you will see us introduce new technologies that allow Rocket DevOps customers to fully embrace modern development tools, such as Git, Jira, and Jenkins.

We're kicking off the year with the beta release of our Visual Studio Code Extension for RDOi. It's ready to download and we're looking for customers who'd like to try this new integration. It takes only a few minutes to install, and we've made it super easy to use.

If you're interested in trying this preview release, please email me and I'll provide all the details you need to get started.

As usual, I'd love to hear what you like and what you don't like about Rocket DevOps, your success stories, and your suggestions for improving our products.

I wish you a happy and healthy 2023.

    Chris

    Hello Chris,

This is good news, congratulations for Rocket Team, I think the name change (Rocket DevOps Core Enterprise ROe / IBM i ROi) is fantastic with a great vision of the future.

I only have one recommendation, in the rocket page downloads section you always included the installation or upgrade documentation with the software but I notice for the new version 10.2 the manuals are not found.

Additionally, I am looking for the complete RDOi 10.2 installation manual but without success, there is only the complete RDOe 10.2 manual.

Could you please share me the manual "Rocket DevOps core for IBM i Installation and Upgrade Guide for IBM i Servers Version 10.2" ?

    Best regards,
    Miguel

    Hello Nick,

Thank you so much for your quick answer, however I need this document "Rocket DevOps core for IBM i Installation and Upgrade Guide for IBM i Servers Version 10.2"

I was looking but the Rocket DevOps core for IBM i Installation and Upgrade manual it is separated into several sub-documents, but for enterprise it does exist in a consolidated document. Please I need the same attached document but for IBM i.

    Best regards,
    Miguel

    Hola, Miguel.
For new LMe (RDOe), we have the Downloads pages for both Linux and IBMi installation.  Each Download page should contain links for the RDOe installer guides for version 10.2 .
I've confirmed the IBM i guide for RDOe 10.2 is available using the link from the download  here: https://docs.rocketsoftware.com/bundle/RDOe_Installation_Guide_IBMi_V102/resource/RDOe_Installation_Guide_IBMi_V102.pdf
I'm updating the download page link to the Linux guide to point to the appropriate guide for that product and OS: https://docs.rocketsoftware.com/bundle/RDOe_Installation_Guide_V102/resource/RDOe_Installation_Guide_V102.pdf
The RDOi guide should also have a link from the download page (but is a 'search' link with a list of docs):
    https://docs.rocketsoftware.com/bundle?labelkey=rocket_devops_ibmi_10.2
The installation guide was first in the list here:
    https://docs.rocketsoftware.com/bundle/rdoi_ig_1020/page/kxy1666720418202.html
I don't think that we yet have a 'doc library' PDF with 'everything' (all LMi/RDOi topics in one pdf) after the 8.5x version.  We're still trying to get that consolidated guide reformatted for the new documentation site.
    Best,
    d
