    Hi Community,

does anybody know how to access secure ldap from Uniface 9.6.04? LDAP is currently configured in our project but now we should change to secure LDAP connection. Is that possible? I don't find any useful information in the documentations.

    Thanks,

    Z

    Hi Zoltan,

There are plans to support TLS for LDAP, but the current LDAP driver of Unfiace does not support it (yet). At the moment I cannot really tell you when this could become available. Sorry.

However, there is a workaround: I know that stunnel is used a lot in this scenario. It is a proxy that adds TLS encryption between clients and/or servers that do not support TLS. I've also found a setup example for using Secure LDAP here.

    Hope this helps.

    Kind regards,

    Hi Daniel,

I wonder if there is any update on this? Is secure LDAP supported yet?

    Thanks,

    Zoltan

    Hi Zoltan,

Yes, the new LDAP U3.0 driver that first was delivered with the patches 10.3.02.030 and 9.7.05.043 (released April 29, 2020) supports TLS.

    I hope this helps.

    Kind regards,
    Daniel
