Is there a cross reference that shows the feature name related to the DLM feature? For example: UWN1 = ? UWN3 = ? UWN4 = ? UWV1 = ? Also, what is the best method to determine the user/server OS within Uniface?
Yes, check the PAM (e.g. PAM9705.xlsx): * (U)WN3 = Windows Server 2012 (32b/64b) & Windows Server 2012 R2 (32b/64b) * (U)WN4 = Windows Server 2016 (32b/64b) For the other compatibility codes you need to check the PAMs of older versions (since the specific Windows version are not supported anymore): * (U)WN1 = Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition (32b/64b) * (U)WV1 = Windows Vista Business Edition (32b/64b) Hope this helps. Thanx for the response. What about features like: UCIS, UCLIENT, UORA, USRORA, etc? Some are obvious but is there a listing someplace? Also, what is the best method to determine the user/server OS within Uniface?
Thanks. You can find (U)ORA (Oracle) also in the PAM. (U)CIS is for C-ISAM, but this is (AFAIK) not supported anymore since version 9. Not sure why we would still deliver license files with this feature. UCLIENT is the license feature for the Uniface runtime, and a license feature starting with USRV* is the server feature of a specific driver (e.g. USRVORA is for using Oracle from a UServer). And you could (e.g.) use the function $oprsys to check the Windows version of the client/server. Hope this helps. Daniel
