! MS Update KB3000850 and Uniface JTi compatibility November 2014

    Author: nico.peereboom@uniface.com (Nico Peereboom)

On November 18th, outside of its normal release schedule, Microsoft released KB3000850, a very large, optional update rollup for Windows 8.1 and Windows Server 2012 R2. When Uniface JTi host is installed on a computer that already has this update installed, the Application Publishing Service will fail to start. When KB3000850 is installed on a computer that already has Uniface JTi Host installed, the Application Publishing Service will run, but other problems may occur.  Uniface is working on a fix for this incompatibility In the meantime, KB3000850 should not be installed on Uniface JTi hosts. If it is installed, you can work around the incompatibility by uninstalling KB3000850.   The Uniface JTi technical support team.
