    29-October-2020: Incompatibility with Windows 10 Version 2004, 1809. 1903 and 1909 Update

Uniface has determined that Uniface Anywhere versions 5 and 6 are incompatible with Windows Updates KB4577069 and KB4577062, which were released on September 16, 2020 for, respectively, Windows 10 version 1809, and Windows 10 versions 1903 and 1909.

Customers running version 6 on Windows 10 and had the Windows Compatibility Assurance enabled, received automatically the update 6.0.1.h, Other than a required reboot of the host, there is no extra actions required to get compatibility.

Uniface has expanded the distribution of the Uniface Anywhere 6.0.1.h Host Update on download.uniface.com to include Windows Server 2019 and Windows 10, version 1809 and replaces update 6.0.1.g
This update will also be automatically downloaded and installed on Uniface Anywhere hosts running on these versions of Windows that have Windows Compatibility Assurance enabled when needed.

For Uniface Anywhere version 5, Uniface has released V5x64UAHost-update-5.0.2.j-C09 to solve this issue.
With this 5.0.2.J-C09 update, support for Uniface Anywhere 5 has been stopped. Customers still running version 5 has to upgrade to version 6 to stay supported.

    Notes

    • Critical updates supplied under Windows Compatibility Assurance can contain files with code signing Certificates issued by GraphOn Corporation.
This is intentionally and by design to be able to deliver patches with the lowest risk of downtime of the Host that requires the update.
