In case you missed it, the Feb 2022 release of Rocket DevOps Portal (RDO or RDOp) included some great new features with this new implementation of our Portal.

This improved replacement for existing Rocket Ops Portal intends to provide LMi and LMe customers with access to key Release Management functions from a single, consistent, & modern interface with:

    • Improved Overview of LMi & LMe Service status with advanced monitoring and dashboarding of key system health indicators
    • User homepage with enhanced visibility for action items, favorites using intuitive interface based on IBM's Carbon Design System
    • Double-byte display support for Traditional Chinese, simplified Chinese, Japanese, and Korean
    • NEW - Portal 'Scheduler' support for delayed Task deployments of LMe Build Release artifacts and LMi Task objects
    • NEW - Portal support for LMi Deployment Target service status monitoring and remote Verify report access for security analysis
    • Includes Report Manager migration from Windows to IBM i or Linux with existing functionality provided for LMe and LMi reporting and downloads from one location
Let's take a closer look at the LMi Deployment Target service status monitoring features.

From the new RDOp Home, can review the new RDOi-Service features for the Deployment Receiver Locations that are defined in LMi (Menu 6 Deployment, option 12 Locations).
RDOi - Receiver Location Monitor options

We have the ability to check the configuration details for the Remote Locations (IP or URL, OS level and LPAR Serial info, etc...) .

We also have the ability to test the connection to the remote right from the portal.  May use 'Test connection' option to confirm communications are in order (like option '8=Run TCP loopback test' on the Location via LMi).  Easy to monitor the returned message to troubleshoot connectivity and ensure your systems are 'Go' for deployment processing.

Looking forward to feedback on these and other new features.

What would you like to see next in the DevOps Portal?
