    Hello

My customer has a pre-production DRP test today. We switch iCluster Primary Node to DR site and cut DC-DR data link and they made some app transactions for an hour from 6-7 users. Then we restore DC-DR data link and I start DR to DC replication.

When I look at WRKCSMON screen at the Backup node and press F5 to refresh from time to time, I see additional information at the bottommost line of the screen below.   The percentage and the file name keep changing slowly as I keep pressing F5. It has been about an hour now and I see about 15 file names so far.

Many times, the line is blank for sometimes before a new name appears.  It appears like a progress report but I would like to know how to interpret it.  Is it a progress of *SAVRST or *RBR or some other information?  This information does not appear in Primary node.

    Thanks.

    Hi Satid,

When you see in the monitor a refresh action status displayed with a %complete, those are *RBR refreshes.  The information to show that detail in the monitor for *SAVRST is not collected and displayed.  The setting for the default action (*SAVRST or *RBR) is in the DMSETSVAL command prompt in the 'Physical file values:' section.

That is also correct that active refreshes and their status for percent complete is reported and available on the backup monitor of the replication only.  The idea being that there is no value in sending that information back to the primary in competition to the communication stream being sent to the backup.

    Hello

I have a question on what the function key F10 = Re-Start in WRKCSMON is for?   Its explanation is quite short and difficult to understand :  Restarts the iCluster Status Monitor.    As far as my experience goes, F10 produces the same result as F5.   What is the situation that F10 is exactly for (compared to F5) ?    And it would also be appreciated if the help information for WRKCSMON function keys is updated for more details about what F10 is for.

    Thanks,

I think I have found the use of F10=Re=Start.  It works only with the screen for "Real Time Object Throughput" of WRKCSMON as it resets the value of the column "Current Trans/Hr" to zero.    I would appreciate the attention of iCluster developer team to help update the help text for this F10 accordingly in the future release.

    Thanks.

    Hi Satid,

Thank you for the question.  You are correct.

The value and function of the the F10=Re-start is to reset the column timer of 'Elapsed time' to zero for the calculation of the values in Current Trans/Hr on the 'Real Time Object Throughput' monitor display.  After pressing F10 followed by subsequent F5=Refresh updates, the elapsed time will advance and the calculation for 'Current Trans/Hr' is updated.  You can then Press F10 again to start a new bracket of time and transaction volume for evaluation.
