I have found when using the real time monitors option 8 from the main menu.    The information on the source system does not always match the target system.  at   times the number of S/O and OSS are different.

and when a file is refreshed the status is only show on the target system.  Basically we are back to using option 80 on the source system and option 81 on the target system .

I thought that my DDM settings  might be the issues. so i set the ddm attributes to use *usrid on both systems and restarted the DDM server.     What cause the monitors to be different or is this something that will be corrected in a future release.

    thanks.

    Hi Duane,

Q1:"I have found when using the real time monitors option 8 from the main menu.    The information on the source system does not always match the target system.  at   times the number of S/O and OSS are different. "

A: Please help me confirm what kind of OOS code or S/O code are there on monitor of both primary and backup node when this issue happened.

Especially the different OOS code or S/O code between primary and backup node.

    Steps:

    1. Enter option 8 from the main menu.
    2. Enter option 7 before the group who has OOS or S/O and compare the differences of OOS code or S/O code between primary and backup node.
    3. Enter option 8 before the group who has OOS or S/O and compare the differences of OOS code or S/O code between primary and backup node.
    4. Send back the different OOS code or S/O code to us.

Q2:"And when a file is refreshed the status is only show on the target system.  Basically we are back to using option 80 on the source system and option 81 on the target system."

A: This issue has been fixed in iCluster V9.2.0.

    Best regards,

    Zhihe

    Hello

In the past few days, I also encounter this issue 2 or 3 times in iCluster 9.1.1 on IBM i 7.4.    When I see a number of S/O or OOS objects appearing in DC site monitor screen, I see none in DR site and its R flag = 'Y'.    When I use option 7 and 8 in DC site, I see empty lists for both.    What I do then is to go to DC monitor screen and press F5 every 30 seconds or so and I found that DC monitor screen will show no S/O nor OOS object and R flag = 'Y' within 4-5 minutes thereafter.

I run WRKCSMON at least 2 times - in the morning and afternoon - in the past 2-3 weeks. My DC and DR servers are still underutilized all the time as it is still in pre-production status, not carrying real workload yet. Both DC and DR servers each has 2 POWER9 CPU cores + 64GB memory + 14TB disk space with some 60 LUNs from IBM FlashSystem.

    Dear Mark

I forgot to say that I did not see this anomaly as a serious one.  I can live with it but I will open an case when I encounter any problem I see as serious one.
