Bio

Well, what could I say about myself?

Professionnally, I have been involved very soon in Mainframes since I started at IBM back in 1988 as a Systems Engineer. And the accounts that I was dedicated to were running Mainframes (MVS/ESA back then). And even if I had two lifes at IBM (resigned in 1993 to come back in 2002), I was always more or less close involved in Mainframe projects (sometimes delivering, sometimes as pre-sales). Apart from the system's basics I was often involved in security projects (mainly RACF, but not only).

I came to know WSF and Folders back in the days when the company was called RSD. And I had some projects on the matter.

Recently, I became grandpa and this is one of the major reason why I moved to another place in Switzerland (actually the highest town in). This, after being born, growing up, studying and living in Geneva since ever. It is not in the antipodes, but what a change.

About study, I holding a diploma in mechanics (machine construction) and a master in mathematics. Back then I anticipated to teach mathematics, but it turned out to be different.

Fortunately, the place I am living in now is in the mountains. And since I have a second occupation (part-time, of course) as an International Mountain Leader, I am just in the right place. Thus, when I am not caring for z/OS, I am scrambling somewhere in the mountains, taking a lot of pictures.
