The first computer I played with was a General Automation SPC-12 using a Teletype and paper tape. writing in assembler.
That was followed by an IBM 360/44 using punch cards, writing in FORTRAN, and an HP 2000, using paper tape, writing in BASIC.
Not long after, in 1977, I started programming on a Microdata Royale. Wow, was that a leap!
I wrote the first full-screen editor running on a Microdata, written in Microdata Assembler.
A few years later, I moved on to Prime INFORMATION, then to PI/open, and then to UniVerse.
