Hi,

When I reach a field at the end of a container list, after hitting the tab from there, it should go to the first field in the group box.

In order to accomplish that, I created a hidden field outside and called a client-side javascript to focus on that field, but it didn't work. Would you be able to provide me with a solution to achieve this scenario?

async function tab_cursor(){
    console.log("Called Tab from client")
    ajaxclient.HostFieldApi.getInstance().hostCursorPut(3,19,function (status) {
    if (status === '0') {
            console.log('SUCCESS post');
   } else {
            console.log('ERROR')
  }

 });
}

I have also tried this -   ajaxclient.HostFieldApi.getInstance().hostFieldCursorSet('ACTION', 0, callback()). However, this doesn't seem to work either. I have also tried looking at the documentation but can't seem to find anything.

I want to achieve this client side Javascript.

Hi Manikandan,

In recent versions, when the tab order is set in your MX Web project, the tab key should move focus from the last (input) row of the container list to the next widget in the tab order. This can be a widget in a group box. I validated this and this works for me in the most recent version 10.5.0. No custom JavaScript should be needed for this.

When you have an older version, it might be that the focus does not tab from container list to a next widget. In 10.5.0 some enhancements are made for tabbing in container lists.

When you need help in a particular situation it would be best to raise a case with support and add your project and steps to reproduce so we can take a look at your project and see why it is not behaving the way you need it to.

Best regards,

Roger van Valen.
