Good morning, are there any manuals for Acucobol in Italian? Or is there an Italian company I can ask for documentation from?

This pertains to the use of external filehandlers, where my COBOL class is compiled with CALLFH"abcdef", which in tern needs to call fh/aaaaaa.dll which exists in the sub folder fh.The COBOL has :CALL “fh/aaaaaa” using ………During animation I debug the class, debug abcdef, but when it gets to the CALL “fh/aaaaaa” it doesn’t raise an exception but doesn’t execute the code either.I can see from procmon that the assembly was indeed loaded as well as the .pdb but just ignored almost as though it was looking for the programid but that didn’t match.Is this not supported?Is there an COBOL .NET  replacement for COBPATH ?Neil

I would like to know if it is possible to get the current occurance using an ‘entity’ webtrigger. I can do this at field trigger level.  I can go up to a parent level to the occurance(as documented). When in a webtrigger at entity level, the ‘this’ is the entity and not the occurance.  There is no possibilty to go down to a child level(occurance).I can get all occurances for the entity or the nth occurance at entity trigger level.But there seems to be no property to get the current occurance at entity level.  I would have imagined it would be a basic need. What would be the solution to get the current occurance of an entity without using field level triggers. 

I have requested to download Visual COBOL Personal Edition, but I have not received an email or reply to download Visual COBOL Personal Edition. What should I do so that I can download Visual COBOL Personal Edition?

We used to install a run-time version of Uniface when we distributed the product to our customers.  Is this still an option in Version 10.04.xx?  Thanks.

We have many WebDE applications . We also use Wildfly(formerly JBoss) as our Java Appication Server. As such, we make use of RedBeans.jar and asjava.jar in order to make connections , create RedObject(s) RedField(s) etc. We also make use of the uObject ReadData, WriteData, DeleteData, ClearData, PostRead, PostWrite, PostCreateServerEvent methods and the uQuery Select method.I think WebDE with Microsoft ASP applications woild be similar.MVIS seems to not take into account the above. Universe says it now ships WebDE with MVIS but WebDE is also at its end of life. Also, WebDE only works with Java 8 so it is not keeping up with Java releases.There isn’t even a Forum for WebDE in this community.Does anyone else use WebDE with Wildfly or ASP? If so, are you concerned about the future of WebDE? Do you have plans for your WebDE applications and how you plan convert the uObject and uQuery methods once WebDE is end of life?

Creating a purge program.  First make a past on a stat file that has cust# and date to select appropriate records to purge into a “to purge” array (INSERT “AR”).Then, read through main file, using a locate on the array to determine if it was one selected.  If so, delete it.Issue is that the main file are from 1-5 records whose IDs begin with the cust#.  This file does not have a date to be used for purging.  The main file has almost 5M records.  The “to purge” array has 50k-150k cust#s in it.  The first pass to create the array from the stat file only takes 30 seconds even with 3M+ records.  However, reading through the main file, using a LOCATE (“AR”) is really slow.I would think that locating in the array would be faster than doing one pass on the main file and doing 4M+ reads on the stat file.   So, I was wondering if anyone had a better idea that would speed up the process.Universe v11.3.1.6022 running on AIX 7.2

Hi, Does anyone have some advise on how to optimise / fine tune MVIS response times on APIs given some latency when using OAuth?When changing the Http Auth type from basic (or even digest) to OAuth, I find my the response times on APIs increases significantly (as expected due to the additional token validation using the JWKS URL).I have response times using basic auth +-50ms going up to +-500ms on Oauth. Any idea if there are ways to cache the tokens on MVIS or other ways to fine tune this? The only solution we have for now is to bump up connection pools to increase capacity which is not that sustainable as we add more APIs to the server going forward. I have also played around with increasing timeouts and other config parameters on server and account level to delay failures on load. Or maybe something to consider for future in MVIS?Im using AzureAD as the Oauth provider. 

Hello,We have a DSP that allows us to send emails using the Graph API. To use this API, we use the ‘msal.js’ library, which allows us to connect to our Microsoft account before sending emails.After the first connection to the Microsoft account, we use the ‘msalInstance.getAllAccounts()’ method, which retrieves the Microsoft connected user from the cache. This is essential for sending several emails in succession.This DSP is used in a form through a DSPContainer, and it works very well.Our problem is as follows: after each application restart, we have to re-enter our credentials: the ‘msalInstance.getAllAccounts()’ method has forgotten everything. As long as the application is not restarted, this method remembers the logged-in user.Do you know if it is possible to have a persistent cache after closing? From an ergonomic point of view, it is not pleasant for the user to have to log in again each time. Thank you and Happy New Year to you !

In yesterday's webinar we had questions about our planned future telemetry support.   We envision telemetry providing ETX session statistics to a standard on-premise 3rd-party aggregation system.
