We used to install a run-time version of Uniface when we distributed the product to our customers.  Is this still an option in Version 10.04.xx?  Thanks.

Hi, Does anyone have some advise on how to optimise / fine tune MVIS response times on APIs given some latency when using OAuth?When changing the Http Auth type from basic (or even digest) to OAuth, I find my the response times on APIs increases significantly (as expected due to the additional token validation using the JWKS URL).I have response times using basic auth +-50ms going up to +-500ms on Oauth. Any idea if there are ways to cache the tokens on MVIS or other ways to fine tune this? The only solution we have for now is to bump up connection pools to increase capacity which is not that sustainable as we add more APIs to the server going forward. I have also played around with increasing timeouts and other config parameters on server and account level to delay failures on load. Or maybe something to consider for future in MVIS?Im using AzureAD as the Oauth provider.

From V6 onwards, ZBNKPRT2.cbl was used in conjunction with the EBC.BANK10.DAT data file, with a structure file created and the associated .str file used to access and read the data.Could you please confirm whether this will be included in the current repository, or if an alternative program can be modified to showcase the Data File Editor?Please advise.

Hello,We have a DSP that allows us to send emails using the Graph API. To use this API, we use the ‘msal.js’ library, which allows us to connect to our Microsoft account before sending emails.After the first connection to the Microsoft account, we use the ‘msalInstance.getAllAccounts()’ method, which retrieves the Microsoft connected user from the cache. This is essential for sending several emails in succession.This DSP is used in a form through a DSPContainer, and it works very well.Our problem is as follows: after each application restart, we have to re-enter our credentials: the ‘msalInstance.getAllAccounts()’ method has forgotten everything. As long as the application is not restarted, this method remembers the logged-in user.Do you know if it is possible to have a persistent cache after closing? From an ergonomic point of view, it is not pleasant for the user to have to log in again each time. Thank you and Happy New Year to you !

In yesterday's webinar we had questions about our planned future telemetry support.   We envision telemetry providing ETX session statistics to a standard on-premise 3rd-party aggregation system. Hi everyone, I’m attempting to install the UniVerse Personal Edition version 14.1.1 on MacOS Tahoe 26.1 on an M1 Macbook. I’m following Rocket’s official PDF (see attachment) on how to do this via a Docker container and using the supporting files from their Github: RocketSoftware/multivalue-containers Because I’m on Apple Silicon, I adjusted the Dockerfile as follows:Replaced the original FROM to force AMD64 emulation since I’m on ARM:FROM --platform=linux/amd64 rockylinux/rockylinux:latestI also added this to fix a permission error that occurs.RUN chmod +x /usr/local/bin/*uv.sh Now, I consistently hit a segmentation fault in the installer during the init_uvsm step. Visual COBOL 11, COBOL .NET, .NET Core -  using methods.When using namespaces why use:       $set ilusing "System.Collections.Generic"Over right clicking on the project, properties ~Namespaces or visa versa?The $set places it in the code vs properties~Namespaces setting it in the project.I think the $set is more visible personally at a developer level, But properies~Namespaces might be better for Pipelines. I am trying to call the direct ODBC API from a Visual COBOL program using Visual Studio 2022. I want to know if there are any specific configuration changes required in Visual studio 2022 to make ODBC calls work correctly, especially when linking DLLs that are not part of the same solution. Also, if anyone has a small sample COBOL program that demonstrates how to call ODBC APIs directly (for example: SQLConnect, SQLExecDirect, SQLDisconnect), it would be very helpful. Could you please guide me on the correct setup and share any sample code?

Hi there.Hope you can help!I am trying to setup the profile so that when the user click clone on a tab it will autologin. I have tried recording a macro and then replaying the macro but this just opens a new window without connecting the terminal or logging in.If I go to script editor and press play it works as intended but I need this to work by right clicking the tab and cloning with an autologin. I am running AccuTerm 8.1 standard. Any help much appreciated!!Thanks

Visual Studio 2022, Visual COBOL 11 Update 1. When migrating old native COBOL code to COBOL .NET which has lots of reference modification code you have to sometimes work out something simple as the length of a string.In OO COBOL you had character arrays and you could get “size” or “sizeinbytes”. Due to my very poor understanding of what a character array was many years ago I got unstuck when using simplified Chinese to do reference modification as getting the “size” means how many simplified Chinese characters are in the array and doing reference modification would truncate the data because I didn’t use “sizeinbytes”.So now moving to COBOL .NET I’d better check the behaviour of this and see how it works.I have a simple C# winform Thread.CurrentThread.CurrentCulture = new CultureInfo("zh-CN");Thread.CurrentThread.CurrentUICulture = new CultureInfo("zh-CN");  This is passed into a C# class and and the RunUnit started.The data is then passed from the class into 2 working storage fields, 1

Does anyone know if there is documentation on the “*** System error value = # *** errors? I see them pop up in my logs from time to time, but I’m not able to find what they mean in the AcuCOBOL documentation. I’m using 10.5.1 on RHEL if that matters.Thanks for your help!

When creating a new task or process, we create them in Zena Dev and then import them to Zena Prod. In the new process, the "Select Default Agent" list includes all agents from both Zena Prod and Zena Dev environments. However, when creating a new task in the Zena Dev Web Client, the list only displays agents available in the Zena Dev environment. How can we configure the list to include agents from both Prod and Dev environments?  Thanks.The first picture is the Select Agent list for new Task.  There is no zena-p-agent listed.  The second picture is the Select Agent list for new Process.  It includes zena-p-agent.   

we are experiencing some strange reactions in Accuterm like : In a Textbox, Multiline, enabled with word wrap.   In the projects properties we have chosen the button that says “ Same as Tab, except for multiline text or command button” on the “traits” tab.    When we use some of these fields (nearly most) when we use the “RETURN BUTTON”  the field did noy simply do a line return but closed the screen down The same type of field on the first screen works ok as expected Grid boxes have problems when using Combo Fields on the first column
