We would like to inform you of an issue that affected the Windows installation packages made available for download prior to Friday August 28.During the release of version 10.4.04-000, the Windows distribution packages were inadvertently built with incorrect software versions. As a result, the originally published packages contain some outdated versions of bundled dependencies that were not intended for this release. To correct this, we have rebuilt and republished the following Windows deliverables:Windows edist installer Windows patch installer Windows Community Edition installerThe updated packages, which contain the correct software versions, have been uploaded to the customer portal download site. Action RequiredTo ensure your environment includes the corrected software versions, please re-download the Windows distribution package, uninstall the current installation, and perform a new clean installation. We recommend re-downloading the package even if you have not yet installed it,

Uniface Support Lifecycle The Uniface product has three typical release types: A “major release” or “version” like Uniface 10. Major releases typically contain significant new functionality and require a migration process to convert applications from previous releases to the new release. A major release typically also contains significant updates to Uniface's Development Environment A “minor release” like Uniface 10.2 or 10.3. Minor releases typically contain new functionality. A migration process may be required when moving to the next minor release. A “maintenance release” like Uniface 10.3.02. Maintenance releases typically require customer applications to be recompiled. May need minor application updates A Patch line Uniface 10.3.02.021 Should not require recompiling customer application New or extended functionality not introducing application incompatibilities New support for platforms or databases Bug Fixes A migration process is normally not required when movi
DownloadsProduct availability Matrix (PAM)Downloads of this patch are available from the Rocket Customer Support Portal.New FeaturesField Label Text Available as a Widget Property. The label text defined on a modeled field is now exposed within the UX Interface, and all standard Uniface UX widgets have been updated to use it by default, ensuring consistent, model-driven labeling. Widgets automatically inherit the field label, which can be overridden at runtime using the {{label-text}} property. When set, this property takes precedence over the modeled field value. Classic DSP widgets are unaffected and continue to use a dedicated Label object, with no changes to existing behaviour.Components compiled with Uniface 10.4.04 are not supported in earlier Uniface versions due to updates to the compilation format enabling UX Component Widgets and Layouts. Uniface 10.4.04 remains compatible with components compiled in previous versions. Various Security, Performance and Stability improvements.

Coming on August 26: Uniface 10.4.04 Service Pack Planned release date: August 26, 2026 Uniface 10.4.04 is on its way; a service pack focused on hardening network security and refreshing supported platforms. We're announcing it ahead of release, so you have time to prepare. If you manage a Uniface estate, the changes below will affect your infrastructure planning, so please read through and plan accordingly before the release date. Security: closing out legacy TLS and weak ciphers This service pack removes support for TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1 across all Uniface network traffic. Due to their well-documented security vulnerabilities, both protocols have been deprecated by major browsers, operating systems, and security standards bodies and are no longer considered secure. Once applied, Uniface will require TLS 1.2 or higher for all encrypted connections. Alongside this, weak ciphers will be removed from network traffic. Only ciphers that meet current security standards will be accepted going
If you're running Uniface in a 32-bit environment and using Java-based features, including Java Call-in or USYSXSLT, this announcement affects you.Java has moved firmly towards 64-bit: current releases are 64-bit only, and no further 32-bit builds are being produced. As a result, it may not be possible for Uniface to continue supporting 32-bit Java in versions beyond 10.4.04.Java 32-bit Call-in and USYSXSLT are deprecated in Uniface 10.4.04, however remain part of the Uniface distribution. What has changed is that, as of 10.4.04, Uniface no longer distributes 32-bit Java itself. If you are using Java Call-in or USYSXSLT with 32-bit Uniface, you can continue to do so, but you will need to supply your own 32-bit Java runtime. To be clear about what our support covers: we supply the Java Call-in and USYSXSLT components themselves. If you raise an issue while running on 32-bit Java, we will need it to be reproducible on 64-bit before we can investigate it further. Why is this happening? This

Overview Two enhancements introduced in patch 10.4.03-036 and patch 10.4.03-037 may cause compatibility issues when compiled resources are used across different patch levels. These issues are fully resolved in patch 10.4.03-038. This document describes: What changed When issues can occur What actions are required to fix them Issue: Label Text Property (patch 10.4.03-036) Patch 10.4.03-036 introduced a new Label Text property for UX widgets. Resources that use a Modeled Label Text value generate different compiled output compared to earlier patches and are thus not compatible with older runtimes. Compiler and runtime must match for correct behavior. Unexpected behavior occurs if the following conditions are met: A component uses a Modeled Label Text value The Component was compiled using patch 10.4.03-036 or -037 You run the compiled component on an older patch than 10.4.03-036 Required Action Recompile all affected components using patch 10.4.03-038 After recompiling the compile
