Hi,I have found that the EXIT PARAGRAPH doesn’t work in .NET COBOL. Is this an error or is it deliberate, and if it is deliberate then is there an alternative?Thanks in advance

Does anyone know if there is documentation on the “*** System error value = # *** errors? I see them pop up in my logs from time to time, but I’m not able to find what they mean in the AcuCOBOL documentation. I’m using 10.5.1 on RHEL if that matters.Thanks for your help!

When creating a new task or process, we create them in Zena Dev and then import them to Zena Prod. In the new process, the "Select Default Agent" list includes all agents from both Zena Prod and Zena Dev environments. However, when creating a new task in the Zena Dev Web Client, the list only displays agents available in the Zena Dev environment. How can we configure the list to include agents from both Prod and Dev environments?  Thanks.The first picture is the Select Agent list for new Task.  There is no zena-p-agent listed.  The second picture is the Select Agent list for new Process.  It includes zena-p-agent.

we are experiencing some strange reactions in Accuterm like : In a Textbox, Multiline, enabled with word wrap.   In the projects properties we have chosen the button that says “ Same as Tab, except for multiline text or command button” on the “traits” tab.    When we use some of these fields (nearly most) when we use the “RETURN BUTTON”  the field did noy simply do a line return but closed the screen down The same type of field on the first screen works ok as expected Grid boxes have problems when using Combo Fields on the first column

I installed the latest Personal Edition of Visual COBOL.I'm trying to create a class that inherits from base and I'm getting the message "Inherited class 'Type base' not found".How do I fix this?

The search (specific and AI) functions on the docs webpage appears to be broken, no results are returned even when very specific request are made, and the Uniface product is explicitly selected. Any idea when it’s coming back? Is there any locally installed resource a programmer can fall back on when the web is busted? Regards, Iain

Hello! I’m relatively new to UniVerse and Multi-valued databases, so my experience with BASIC is limited.I was writing a program with subroutine calls that I wanted to abstract via ‘@<var>’. This program had a “create output file data line” subroutine and a “finalize output file” subroutine. When I wrote these local subroutines (explicitly defined, not subroutine labels), I encountered an error where, when calling with ‘@’, only the first locally-defined subroutine would be found; the other subroutine would cause a runtime error, unable to be located. It was not found locally, and so the object database file (.O) was being searched, instead.For example:* ...IS.DONE = @FALSE* Main loopLOOP READNEXT FILE.NAME ELSE IS.DONE = @TRUE ENDUNTIL IS.DONE * ... I am receiving JSON from a third party and it contains a null value like below.  I call UDOGETPROPERTY for line_item_id and when I try to reference the return value I get Improper data type and my process terminates. How do I detect for the null value in the return value?

They currently have the application and database on premise and use the Distributed Licence Manager to manage concurrent users.They wish to migrate the application and database to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.What would be the implications for this with regards moving the DLM onto OCI, and would the licence itself need to change?They are on uniface 9.7.Thanks in advance,Clare

Trying to reload Unidata 8.2 by first unloading it. Something screwed up during the removal. Now I’m getting a message that says “unable to find regisistry key SOFTWARE\Rocket Software\Unidata\8.2\UDTHOME”. Dont know what to do next???

Does anyone have an accurate handle on how and when AUTOLOGOUT triggers?   The manual says….Use AUTOLOGOUT to enable or disable automatic logout. With AUTOLOGOUT enabled, UniVerse logs you out automatically if you have not pressed a key within a specified time.But I don’t believe that is accurate.   We’ve had some confusing results in testing.   A process on a loop with periodic TIMEDATE() displays (output only) does not trigger.  Similarly a loop process with no screen output but just a SLEEP X also does not trigger even in between loops before it goes back to sleep.So, we are trying to understand the actual nuts and bolts of how/when it triggers.   Thanks for any help.Steve DouglasVP Systems AdminMBMS, LLC

In RDi, I have LM(i) filters by user, object, and task#.  In VS Code, all I've managed to find is a list of every task# since the beginning of time.  How do I set up LM(i) filters in VS Code like I have in RDi? Thanks

Hi, I'm running a program with an old version of the RM/COBOL runtime. After the recent Windows 11 update (08-2025), the runtime no longer works with the following error: "Cannot load RMGUIFE.DLL..." (see attached file). Has anyone encountered this problem? Is there a new compatible runtime? Where can I get information on purchasing one? Hi,I'm testing the IMS sample application because I need a reference for a client's configuration. I follow the procedure described in the manual, which requires all fields to be ASCII, but when I enter MFDEMO, the fields coming from the program aren't ASCII. I debugged the program, and they are ASCII. I'm attaching a screenshot of what I see. Can you help me? What am I doing wrong?Thank you very much.
