Visual COBOL for Visual Studio 2022 11.0.0 failing install on windows server 2022. Visual studio community edition is installed, version 18.4.3 and “Workload for C++ Desktop Applications “ is installed. Setup fail with error:81f40001 - Microsoft Visual Studio 2022 17.8 or later has not been detected anyone enconter this issue?

Just lost my wintegrate session setup and trying to recreate it - for function key mapping, when I want to set a function key to a text like ‘hello’ with a return at the end - what char(s) do the return? I thought it was ^m but thats not working… I’m on V6.4.3Thanks!

Hello Rocket Software Community / zoss-appdev Maintainers,I am currently utilizing the gzip utility from the zoss-appdev conda channel on z/OS. I noticed that the current version hosted on the channel is 1.13, which hasn't been updated in quite some time, whereas standard channels like conda-forge have moved forward to 1.14 and beyond.Could the development team look into updating the gzip feedstock for z/OS to version 1.14 or the latest stable upstream version? Is the use and setting of the FCD information different between native COBOL and NET COBOL?My reason for asking is that I have taken the code from our native application straight across into a NET COBOL equivalent and I am finding that setting the address for the file name and key block is not being taken across to our external filehandler correctly.

While using the ETX software, I noticed that users with identical usernames can log in successfully even if their passwords, home directories and shell paths are different. Only a matching username is required for login. My test‑case details are listed below: 1. The ETX server is integrated with LDAP. The LDAP user `user` has the password `password123`, home directory `/net_home` and shell path `/bin/csh`. There is also a local user with the same username `user` on the ETX node server, whose password is `password456`, home directory `/home` and shell path `/bin/bash`. Under this scenario, the user `user` is able to launch a virtual desktop successfully on the ETX node. And it picks up the home directory and shell variables from the local `user` account on the node, instead of the values from LDAP.2. Hi allIs it possible to save a file (fx .pdf, .docx) in a vision file?Currently I copy the file to the server and creates a record in a vision file with the original file name and server file name. So, when the user need the file, I can copy the server file to the client PC.It would be easier to maintain, if I can save the file in the vision file and extract it when the user needs it,Regards Kim
