We are loading a third party web page to an HTML widget in a DSP which is in turn loaded into an HTML widget from our C.S. Application. The 3rd party web page is displaying the dates etc in American format. and the navigator.language when queried in the inspector is “en-US”. The user/machine I am running the client application on is set to language “en-GB” when I run chrome and use the inspector. It is important that I can set the accepted languages and preferred language for my application as people will be confused by the date formats. How do you control these settings in the HTML widget/cefrender? NOTE, I am currently jumping through hoops to set the locale in the DSP code, but this is a 3rd party software… Regards, Iain

In the Reflection .NET API, our WaitHostSettle calls no longer appear to do anything.  If I call the method like below (10 sec timeout, 3 sec settle), it instantly continues.  It should wait for a minimum of 3 seconds in this case.  This is causing sync issues with some of our processes.  We’re on Reflection 18.0.2214 if it helps.WaitForHostSettle(10000, 3000)

I am looking for a way to differentiate a record create (or insert if you will) from a record update within a trigger.  I am not seeing anything that would allow me to do this easily.   My use case is to send out an event on a record create and a different event on a record update.  I want this to happen only after a successful write.I can see on a pre-write how I could see if the record exists already or not, but then if the write should fail, I would have sent an event for the create or the update that is out of sync with the state of my database.  I would like to avoid having 2 events sent on a create (one pre-write detecting a create and one post-write for an update).It would seem to be an important piece of metadata that should be available to the trigger as to whether or not this record had to (or will) be created by the write.Has anyone else already come up with an elegant solution or can point out the obvious thing I am missing?

Is there a way to quickly find or navigate to a certain program by name in online editing? Search bar gives results only for the already opened programs. 

Hi freaksI was forced to upgrade ourWindows-Server and SQL-Server to Version “2025”No problem but now, when I connect (from our application) the first time to the database it takes 8 secondssql/print "SELECT top 1 1 FROM aTable", "DEF"Profiling on MS-SQL give me no hint, as the duration of all action are a few microseconds.Using procmon results in this picture UnifAce connects and deconnect several time. There is a new file called uoj.properties that controls logging and such for UOJ 5.4.3. I read the documentation and found this new required feature. However, the UOJ code does not read the file when deployed on Apache Tomcat. Rocket Software is working on a hotfix.The problem is that the logDebugLevel is set to INFO no matter what you set the file for. Because I have background process running like batch jobs, clean up temporary files in Universe, and running BIRT print jobs in UniBasic code. Each of those processes creates a log entry meaning I create about 43,250 minimum per day in the Apache Tomcat log files. Good morning, I have been working in COBOL for over 20 years and I have always believed that when a main program (PA) calls a second program (PB) using `CALL PB USING field1 field2 field3` and the procedure in PB is `PROCEDURE USING field1 field2 field3`, the parameters that are put in the `using` procedure of a program (PB) should be defined in the `linkage` section, but I see in the documentation this“ Data-name-1 must be defined as a level 01 or a level 77 entry in the Linkage Section , File Section or Working-Storage Section”This raises a lot of questions for me.Has this always been the case? If the variables in PB are defined in the working storage section, what relationship do the variables in PA have with those in PB? How does assigning values ​​to variables in PB affect the variables defined in PA? Could the call be made from PA without passing those parameters?

Is it possible to migrate JAVA code that use JCICS in CICS Liberty server on zOS to run on Rocket Enterprise server on Linux ?  Is there any guide for such migration ?

I’m not sure if this is the right forum to ask this question. What are employers looking for when  it comes to COBOL. Is proficiency in COBOL the only requisite they want, or are they looking for other things as well? At the age of 70, and with issues like memory retention and learning new things, learning COBOL is one thing. Learning more than just a programming language may be more than I can muster.

HiI have installed patch line Uniface 10.4.03.036 today. The Ide startpage tries to load “Loading community topics”, but it’s just spinning.If you restart the Ide, you may be lucky and it loads, but usually just spinning.It doesn’t lock the ide but..I think I have seen something about this in the forum, but I can’t find it.Regards RogerWStartpage 

We do all our exports to CSV by lfieldump and this works for yearsNow, however, a customer came up with the idea of using a DOS environment variable to determine the directory instead of fixed directories.So instead of "Q:\outpute\export1.csv,"it should now be "%app_export%\export1.csv"(where app_export is defined differently on each client).Unfortunately, Uniface cannot handle this; the file system converts it to "?app_export?\export1.csv," and the file system complains.Is there a simple solution for this, i.e., any letter combinations that can be used at the file system level to resolve "%%app_export%"?Of course, I can use a few tricks to ask Windows/DOS what the resolution is before each fieldump, and then replace that part. But I'm reluctant to check all our programs for this and make changes :-)A customer

So it all appears good. However, if I inspect the cef process (ENABLEDEVTOOLS=true), it builds up uncaught exceptions as per below, every time the refresh is fired. Hi,I have found a changes in behaviour with the sql disconnect function between native COBOL (using ODBC) and .NET COBOL (using ADO) and was wondering whether these are deliberate or notScenario: I have a primary SQL connection ‘MAIN’ which is used for the majority of processing. However I have two other connections ‘ADMIN’ and ‘ALTERNATE’ which are used to perform elevated functions (ADMIN) or functions which I want disconnected from main (ALTERNATE)In native COBOL when I disconnected from one of these secondary connections it automatically reverted to the MAIN connection however in .NET COBOL this is not the case and I am finding I need to issue a ‘set connection’ .Also in native COBOL when the connection is closed it physically kills the connection to SQL - i.e. the SPID is no longer active. In NET COBOL whilst the connection is logically closed I see that the SPID still exists in SQL.  Are these changes deliberate? Peter
