Hi everyone, Does anyone know how to make the "Universe Telnet Service" that runs on our IBS Application server, to only use 128bitblock Ciphers, and disable the other lower 64bit block ciphers? The service listens on port 992. The problem is that our Qualys VUN scanning tool is picking up that port 992 is a security risk againstBirthday attacks against TLS ciphers with 64bit block size vulnerability (Sweet32) and goes on to say"Disable and stop using DES, 3DES, IDEA or RC2 ciphers.  We believe that the "Universe Telnet Service" uses OpenSSL that offers out these lower level ciphers, but we have no idea how to to best address this sothat the only ciphers used are 128-bit or higher ciphers. We are waiting on our third party support to get back to us as they have opened a ticket today. Current version of OpenSSL is OpenSSL 1.0.2m-fips  2 Nov 2017, though "Programs and Features" is saying OpenSSL 1.1.1k (64-bit) was installed on March 2021. Universe is 12.1.1 is installed. Hi all? I installed the latest Patch  (044) in my development.After transfering a form to test, I get an error .[] User action failed to complete. Unexpected exception. [error=-100003] Repository data found, of which the K-version is too high. The form is imported but I can’t open the IDE in test and prod any more :  

Within a "Mainframe COBOL Project," I'm trying to generate a Java client for a COBOL program. To do this, I'm using the context menu option on the COBOL program: New -> Java Interface. This has created the "Java Interfaces" path within the project, and inside that path, a file with the .xml extension containing the mapping between the Java attributes and the COBOL Linkage structure.So far, so good, but when I run the "Generate Client" option from the context menu of the .xml file, the following error message appears: "Please Set Up Java EE classpath in the properties dialog." I've been investigating, and it seems the problem is that it can't find the mfccl.jar Java library, but I don't know where I need to declare it to avoid the error and generate the Java client.Thanks.

VS code updated to latest version and zmf explorer profiles disappears.vs code version 1.124.2 ZMF explorer 2.0.10I tried deleting zowe.config.json, zowe.schema.json, and extenders.json.   Restored backup of zowe.config.json and zowe.schema.json.I uninstalled zmf explorer and re-installed it.    I installed a previous version of visual studio code. Unfortunately, VS code auto updated.None of these corrected the issue.  

Hello Team,Currently we have Enterprise developer already available in the system , I am trying to integrate VS Code using Rocket COBOL extension to do a BRD documentation using the Co-pilot features. We have two copybooks extension ,one with CPY and another COPYCOB. The intelisense is  able to identify the CPY copybooks but not the COPYCOB eventhough the extensions are mapped. Is there possibility to re-use the XML files of MFED for the integration of VS code.ThanksSanoop

My company intends to increase the security of clients by using Microsoft App Control.This basically means that any executable not located in %programfiles...% must be digitally signed with our company key.Now signing the executables is  a bit of a hassle but generally not really a problem. But for ETX, two security mechanisms come in to conflict. The ETX launcher checks the hash value of the main (Native Client) executable but if the executable is signed by us the hash value changes. So: sign the main executable -> The ETX Launcher won't start it.Don't sign the main executable: Microsoft App Control prevent execution.Oops!Has anybody found a solution for this problem?

I have updated the file associations in the ibm open editor extension.   We have two custom  types which mapping incorrectly on the local folders.J01 becomes a suffix of JAVAP01 becomes a suffix of TXTHow can I correct this file mapping/associations?

I am trying to code Cobol programs, compile and execute. I need help on what I need to download to accomplish this. I  have worked on IBM mainframes using Cobol, jcl, ISPF, TSO, etc many years ago. I want to restart now. Please advice on what I need to do to get started. Thanks.
