Deploying Cypress across larger environments just got easier.Cypress 9.6 introduces a Silent Installer, allowing teams to install Cypress from the command line and pass the required configuration parameters without working through the installer UI manually.For customers managing multiple Cypress servers, this means deployments can now be incorporated into existing scripting and automation workflows, helping teams:automate installations across multiple servers; maintain more consistent configuration; reduce manual deployment effort; better support standardized provisioning processes.The Silent Installer supports the same core configuration parameters used during an interactive installation, including DocuVault name, cache size, installation path and more.Another small but important step in making Cypress easier to deploy and manage at enterprise scale.

One of the security enhancements in Cypress 9.6 is TLS encryption for DDI (Direct Document Input) - the protocol Cypress uses to receive print jobs from systems such as SAP, Oracle and other enterprise applications.With TLS enabled, documents and related parameters transmitted between the DDI client and Cypress server are encrypted in transit. Cypress 9.6 also supports mutual TLS, allowing both the client and server to verify each other before the connection is established. For customers using DDI, this provides stronger protection for document data in transit and helps meet modern enterprise security requirements. Configuration is straightforward and works with the existing DDI setup by pointing it to a TLS configuration file. We’ll continue highlighting more Cypress 9.6 enhancements here over the coming weeks.
