Now available | Rocket iCluster 9.4.0 Release Announcement
The Rocket Software team is pleased to announce that the new version 9.4.0 of Rocket® iCluster is now available. Rocket iCluster high availability/disaster recovery (HA/DR) software solutions ensure uninterrupted operation for your IBM i applications, providing continuous access by monitoring, identifying, and self-correcting replication problems. Rocket® iCluster 9.4.0 adds more features to the user-friendly Web UI, improves the performance of the iCluster core and adds support for IBM i 7.6. Rocket® iCluster Web UsabilityThe following new features and improvements were added the Web UI for increased usability: End-to-End Group ManagementThe web UI now supports complete group management, allowing users to create, modify, and delete groups directly from the interface. Object specifiers can be added easily using the integrated object browser for native, IFS, and SQL objects. Additionally, bulk operations such as group deletion and event log clearing are available, streamlining administrative tasks. Sync Check Commands on WebSync check operations have been fully migrated to the web interface, allowing users to start, end, purge, and activate checks with just a few clicks. A redesigned, intuitive UI now makes it easy to configure sync check attributes at both cluster and group levels, delivering greater flexibility and control without leaving the browser Redesigned Monitor UIThe redesigned interface offers a more intuitive layout, providing quick access to essential actions such as starting or stopping groups, activating objects, and performing sync check operations. This streamlined design enhances usability and reduces the number of clicks required for common tasks Deployment Rocky Linux supportWith iCluster Web 9.4.0, we’re expanding platform support—Rocky Linux 9.3 is now officially supported, delivering greater flexibility and reliability for your environment Rocket® iCluster Core / Green Screen Performance and ReliabilityThe following new features and improvements have been implemented for increased performance and improved reliability: Smart RefreshA new *SMART option has been introduced to determine the optimal refresh strategy based on the number of differences between the source and target file. Depending on the file’s state, Smart Refresh will either use *RBR or transfer only the changed records, improving refresh speed by approximately 35–55% for large files. Priority AuditA new feature lets you run sync checks only on objects that have changed within a selected timeframe—such as the last 24 hours—dramatically reducing the time required for daily checks and improving overall efficiency. Usability Improved Sync Check SchedulerThe enhanced scheduler now offers flexible options, including half-hour, hourly, weekly, and monthly intervals. It integrates seamlessly with Priority Audit and provides simple controls to enable or disable schedules and view results directly from the interface—making sync check management easier than ever. Activate OOS object by sizeObjects that are out of sync can now be activated in ascending order of size, starting with the smallest. This enhancement gives administrators greater control and efficiency when handling bulk activations. Proactive license and grace‑period messagingThe system now provides proactive alerts for upcoming license expirations and grace period status. These notifications help administrators take timely action to avoid service interruptions and maintain compliance. Security MFA profile replication support for IBM i V7R6iCluster now supports MFA replication, ensuring security settings remain consistent across environments. MFA-related user profile attributes, including TOTP keys, are replicated between source and target systems and included in sync checks for complete integrity. Quality and Reliability Clear Job Scheduler EntriesThe DMAPLYJSE command now includes an option to clear previous job scheduler entries before applying new ones. This enhancement simplifies disaster recovery processes and sets the stage for future backup and restore capabilities for job schedules. Object Counts ReportIntroducing the new DSPGRPPLF command, which identifies logical file dependencies across groups and libraries. This enhancement ensures that all related logical files are included in replication, reducing risk, and improving data consistency. Staging ASP storage validationTo prevent configuration errors, the system now blocks staging store sizes that exceed available ASP space and provides real-time warnings on both primary and backup nodes. This enhancement ensures optimal resource allocation and improves system reliability.
