Rocket COBOL extension for VSCode fails to find Copy Books or other COBOL files located in different folders

Hi. We are trying to setup a COBOL project, originally setup with Enterprise Developer (Micro Focus) for Eclipse, within VSCode using the Rocket COBOL extension. This project uses multiple folders, each of one hosted within different Git repositories. At first, we just imported the main folder, containing the main .cobolProj file from the original Eclipse project. However, no copybooks or other COBOL files referred from this .cobolProj file seems to be discovered by the extensión. We get COBCH0008 errors showing  "unknown copy file filename" for example, on COBOL files using the COPY directive. We then tried to import additional folders containing these copybooks into a VSCode workspace, but to no avail. Our question is :  Does the Rocket COBOL extension for VSCode work as expected, with a multi-folder project ? How do I fix Rocket MVBasic undefined variable in VSCode

I have two bp file that both exist in Github: IO.BP and WEBAPPS.BP.  I have a subroutine in WEBAPPS.BP that I am updating in vscode.  It has this include statement “$INCLUDE IO.BP IO.INS”  vscode still shows all the variables using that file as undefined variables.  I have tried adding them to the includeMapping, but it still doesn’t fix it.  Both folders exist in c:\git-workspace\IO.BP and c:\git-workspace\WEBAPPS.BP.  This is for Universe. I also tried adding the folder to the workspace. How can I fix this in vscode?  

Cobol Language errors in VSCode that do not show up in MF Enterprise Developer

Hi.Following our migration from MF Enterprise Developer to Rocket Cobol for VSCode, we are experiencing some Language Server errors in VSCode that do not show up in MF, but we are unable to figure out how to fix them. We assume is probably related to missing or incorrect compiler directives, but we are not sure. This is the actual configuration of Cobol directives in MF: ​​​​​​And this is the configuration of Cobol Default Directives on Rocket Cobol (basically replicating the ones in MF, but including a few extra ones, like assign”external” to fix some COBCH0005 errors)  However, with this configuration, we are seeing some errors, such as COBCH0641 , COBCH0628 or COBCH0002, and  we have no clue how to fix them. Here are some of them: (at least we can see the OUTLINE section seems to be working fine and recognizing Cobol structures) Any idea how to ensure Language Server behaves in the same way as MF ? We are NOT using directives.mf files so far, but direct configuration on the Rocket Cobol Default Directives settings. Thanks a lot in advance !!  

msbuild command line passing properties

I’ve got to be missing something simple here: msbuild ACME.cblproj --property:Version=8.0.0.2 --property:FileVersion=8.0.0.2This will build a .NET Core 8.0 COBOL dll and pass in the properties for File Version and Product Version as if it where set on the project properties tab, under Application~Assembly Information.But how does one set Product Name and File Description, setting “Product” on the project property~Application~Assembly Information doesn’t build it into the DLL.I need to pass these properties in via command line, I don’t seem to find any documentation for all the StringFileInfo via msbuild.I require these, I have some.   CompanyName=Company  FileDescription  InternalName  FileVersion =FileVersion            LegalCopyright = Copyright  LegalTrademarks = Trademark  OriginalFilename  ProductName  ProductVersion = VesrionAnyone?Neil

Regardless of whether you are connected to a server or not, all editor functions will work as expected. But when connected to a U2 server, some new features will be enabled, and some features will be enhanced: Please refer to Configuration to open the configuration file. View this on Rocketsoftware > I opened the terminal with dos command, i.e. not PowerShell and attempted the command Connect U2Server, this gives me  Connect is not recognized. What have I missed in the installation/setup of the extension? MVIS and reactive access to DB

We are looking at trying to enhance some of our VUE apps to be more reactive with the DB.  I was wondering if MVIS supported any webhooks for VUE applications.   We have build a nodejs server that will communicate with our D3 server and watch for changes and then our VUE app will await the webhook and update the application with the changes.  The proof of concept works but I really hate adding one more server, nodejs in the mix of things that could go wrong.   We are still using the Zumasys MultiValue Dashboard interface for all our web to D3 services. How to download and install Visual COBOL trial on RHEL 8 (LinuxONE)

Hi everyone,I’m currently working on a LinuxONE machine running RHEL 8, and I’d like to try out Visual COBOL (preferably the trial version) to compile and run COBOL programs directly on this environment.I’ve checked Rocket Software’s website, but I couldn’t find a clear link or step-by-step guide for downloading and installing Rocket Visual COBOL for RHEL 8 on s390x (LinuxONE).Could anyone please share: Where I can download the trial installer for Visual COBOL (s390x version if available), and The installation steps or prerequisites for setting it up on RHEL 8 running on LinuxONE? Any official documentation link or personal setup experience would be greatly appreciated.Thanks in advance!
