The shop where I now have the pleasure to work has not used copy source that I can see. When I have copy source, what is the best object type to use? I assume *SRCMBR with ILE as the attribute.

Thank you for your inquiry.
I confirm that *SRCMBR is the correct type for defining any Source that would not be compiled (Not directly related to an object).
Example: Copy source or FTP script or any source that is used directly by your application etc.
The attribute (ILE, OPM, BND or even left blank) is for information only and should not impact LMi.
By contrast, choosing the correct Library Group (LG) is important to determine the routing of this object, i.e. whether and where it gets Deployed (Installed).
Best regards
Jay
