Folks:
I'm working on a program that's checked out to another developer.
I can edit the program without a problem, but the compile option is disabled.
I can submit a compile from the green screen.
I have the program checked out to another developer because I'm using objects & copy members that they are working on.
Any way I can get the compile option enabled in the plug-in?
Thanks!
david
Hi David,
Support case may be best for this.
The context option for 'Create i-Series Compile' should be available if you have the options to edit the members in their dvp environment library AND the plugin 'default developer' is set for the checked-out developer.
You'd still be logged in as yourself, but change your Developer Default option to the other checkout development account.
Example here from my 10.5.0 plugin.
Object still checked out to NEWTONB. I can edit the code from the plugin, but to access the 'create' context option, I need to set my developer default to also be NEWTONB.
Now I can create for Developer NEWTONB (and my login user 'dalea_x' will still show as my RDOi User).
Please let us know if this does not resolve your issue.
Best,
Dale

David,
Pls let us know if you have further issues/questions.
Also curious if you have tried the Visual Studio Code Rocket DevOps extension yet?
Thanks in advance for any input/comments.

I have tried it and found it to be pretty much unworkable. Unless I'm completely misunderstanding the filtering capability, it's nowhere near as functional as the RDi plug-in.
HOWEVER, I'm also finding VS Code itself pretty difficult to wrap my brain around.

Thx David for the feedback.
We do have some Filter feature updates releasing in November, so keep your eyes peeled.
