We're thrilled to introduce the Rocket® MultiValue Integration Server (MVIS) 2.2.1, a release that reflects our ongoing commitment to delivering smarter integration, stronger security, and a smoother experience for you. The MVIS team has worked diligently to bring meaningful improvements that simplify workflows, enhance visibility, and reduce friction in day-to-day operations.
Seamless MVConnect Integration
MVIS now supports direct integration with MVConnect, allowing you to run MVConnect programs as REST endpoints from within MVIS. This enhancement eliminates the need for complex configurations and accelerates deployment, making it easier than ever to connect MultiValue data servers to modern applications.
Enhanced MVConnect Request Handling
MVConnect requests now run directly through a UniRPC connection to the MV dataserver, improving performance and reliability. New users can deploy the MVDB account directly, while existing users can enable this feature by cataloging two new subroutines.
Sharper Insights and Smoother Troubleshooting
We've refined how MVIS handles logging and diagnostics. SSL configuration errors now appear clearly in the mvis-admin.log file, complete with guidance for resolving them. REST request logs now include account names when enabled, and the system logs client IP addresses for every API call. These updates give you the visibility you need to quickly troubleshoot and operate with greater confidence.
More Control, Less Clutter
MVIS 2.2.1 introduces flexible Cross-Origin Resource Sharing (CORS) configuration, allowing you to define allowed origins using a simple, semi-colon delimited list. At the same time, we've reduced log noise by eliminating unnecessary INFO-level entries, helping you to focus on what matters most.
Smarter Upgrades and Configuration Management
To protect SSL certificates during upgrades, MVIS now provides options to preserve or relocate the cacerts file. We've also reintroduced the webdeConverterTool.jar, which simplifies the transition from Rocket ®U2 Web DE by converting legacy configuration files into MVIS-compatible formats.
Reliable Open API Specifications (OAS) Metadata Imports
We've resolved an issue that previously blocked OAS[KL1] file imports when using the MV dataserver[KL2] [MS3] storage format. You can now manage API metadata without interruption or error.
MVIS 2.2.1 reflects our focus on delivering practical, high-impact improvements that help our customers move faster, stay secure, and scale with confidence. We're proud of what the team has accomplished-and even more excited about what's ahead.
