Hi All,
I wonder if anyone has ever tried to create an SBXA Character Screen with more than 80x25 characters.
I have tried the following:
- Terminal definition in SBXA Standard and Condensed Column/Row 132/43
- Terminal setup in SBClient Wyse60 with 132X43
In principle, everything works, although I have to edit the screen definition with the screen editor to enter the window coordinates 0,0,131,41 because in /SD it isn't accepted.
However, the problem is that not all characters are displayed correctly. For example, in the screen I created for testing purposes, texts are not outputted from line 20 onwards, but the field contents are still visible.
It seems that something with the cursor Addresing goes wrong by trying this hack...
I know I'm pushing the boundaries of SBXA with this, but I want to give it a try to gain some time until we have the replacement of character screens with GUI ready..
Maybe someone has already tried this with, or withoult luck - every information would be helpful.

best regards
Thomas
hi Thomas,
Yes, we do it decade ago ...
on sbclient we define

on sb+ server, we define term as TU.WYSE60.132 (regarding d3/uv/ud check the OE termtype id )

At SB+ control params, define Prompt/Error/Help Line(s) 'relative' to bottom L1/L2 ; the DISP will work correctly

in wyswyg screen defn, let the Window Co-Ords empty then you have full screen and set the coord of the field by value ; after you can loop field to field with <tab>.

We only use 'Field Label' no TEXT into screen,

hi hope this help

Thanks you Manu for helping me again.
I tried again with your Tip's and the most important part is to only use field Labels instead of static text.
We often don't use them because the fields are used in diffent screens with different space available.
I finally got the first screen to work, now we have to wait for the users Feedback if it is worth to spend some time to create a few more.

One important thing that I found out while building this screen. (maybe it is worth to be documented if somenone else tries the same..)
You can not assign a field or a label beyound column 99 SB+ also complains if you try this. (But it would be possible with F8 - move)
If the starting point of any element is beyound this boundary it will not be displayed.
