Hi guys - I know I can wrap a grid column header by typing a shift-enter where I want the header to wrap. Similar to making old pick headers wrap by using a multivalue mark.

But I want the DATA within the grid to wrap or be 'stacked'. Like an address with name on the first line, street on the second, and city,st,zip on the third line - all within one grid row and column cell. I don't want to have to mess with blocking the characters to force a wrap.

Anyone know how to do this?

Thanks

There's a Word Wrap property on the main grid's property page. You could try that.

Hi Kathleen - I don't think there is a way to show multi-line data in a grid cell except by using the auto-wrap property, which has internal logic to figure out where to wrap long lines.

Sorry, Pete

Thanks Pete - I ended up using multiple lines for each entry and visually separating them with a blank line. The problem here was way too much data and I didn't want to add backscreens as the data they needed wasn't maintainable. I like the way it came out - kinda crossed between a report and still being able to correct the GL numbers.

Thanks for checking for me, Kathleen

Pete,

If I understood what Kathleen wanted, she is wrapping on attributes or values.  Can she separate the fields with a CR/LF to get each field on a separate line?
