I've generated an Excel.def file with axdefgen. Is there a way to generate this in terminal format rather than ansi format? If not, what do I need to do to convert it to terminal format? I've tried various spacings but the compiler always chokes on the very first OBJECT line. TIA

What do you mean by "terminal" mode? Can you attach the "def" file that it created?

You cannot export .def files to a specific format. Thus, you will experience problems when mixing.
This is however an issue that has been adressed by introduction of support for certain compiler switches inline the code.
As of version 6.2.0, the AxDefGen utility will insert this inline compiler directive automatically and you will be able to use terminal and ansi source code mixed.

Thanks, I got it going. I manually adjusted the spacing to terminal format. Also had a problem in that our SPECIAL-NAMES code is in a copy file. This file had a "." at the end of it, so that prevented the compiler from recognizing my following "COPY Excel.def" statement. I'm embarrassed to even share that the problem was a stray period, :o but hopefully it will help someone else.

I now have another error I need help on, will post that separately.

Don't be embarrassed, as I see it, this is just a perfect example of how important it is, to pay attention to even the smallest detail.

Good work!
