Out of sync VV.MM in ZMF v6.1.2

We are having a situation in ZMF v6.1.2 where the version and modification numbers for a component on the component history are not the same as the vv.mm on the baseline PDS for this component. It seems something's out of sync. Has anyone any comments on that?
