XML SCRATCH COMPONENT SERVICE should do multiple components

We need to scratch several components of the same libtype.  We would like to use the XML SCRATCH COMPONENT SERVICE.  It seems to only allow one member at a time.

The ZMF Product Team have reviewed this request and decided that it will not be progressed at this time. The default starting position for all CMPONENT services are that they are designed to execute against a single component. The CMPONENT services that do accept multiple component input do so simply to assist in the performance of those tasks that are repeatedly executed across multiple packages on a regular basis. For example, component checkout, checkin, build and recompile. Scratch has been deemed to not comply with this criteria and, therefore, we do not intend to pursue this request at this time. Obviously you can create a routine using one of the programmatic XML Service interfaces (e.g. SERXMLBC, SERXMLRC, etc.) that will generate multiple scratch requests based on whatever criteria you require. This is our recommended way forward in relation to this particular request. We hope that this is clear and acceptable. If not, or if you have any further questions, then please let us know.
