Q: The exit scripts, do I need to write these myself, or does Rocket ship sample ones, or do I need to pay Pro. Services to write them? 

A : Rocket provides a program named LMIGITEXIT in the ACMSLIB library, which is defined as an Exit Program within LMi. Full details on how to define this are explained in the 'Rocket Lifecycle Manager IBMi Edition Daily Operations Reference, Appendix H: Configuring the LMi GIT Integration'. 

Q: Do I need another license / feature to enable the Git & Jira integrations? 

A: No, all our 3rd party integrations, including for Git and JIRA are included in your standard Rocket Aldon licensing. 

Q: If I'm using Visual Studio, can I still use the Git integration? 

A: Yes, the Rocket Lifecycle Manager Enterprise GIT Integration is configured using a 'hook' on the GIT 'commit' process, so is considered 'IDE agnostic'.   

Q: Where do I get the Plugin for Jira from? 

A: You can download all our 3rd party plugins from the Rocket support portal, including JIRA. 

Q: How will audit work? 

A: The Rocket ALM solution provides comprehensive security, auditing and reporting capabilities. All actions performed within the solution are tracked and logged into an audit file. This includes any 'Commit' function from a local Git repository using the LMe GIT integration plugin. 

Q: Should Ops Portal be installed before installing JIRA plug-in? 

A: Yes, the Rocket Ops Portal is a pre-requisite for the installation of the JIRA plug-in. 

Q: Is the Ops Portal downloaded through the Rocket Support portal? 

A: Yes, all components of the Aldon suite, including the Ops Portal and the 3rd party integrations, are available in the Rocket customer support portal. 

Q: Is JIRA and Community Manager substitute for each other or can they be used together? 

A: As each of the products provide different functionality, they could be used standalone, or together, depending on the specific customer requirements. 

Q: What type of security exists for Git that prevents developers to copy code to personal git repositories? 

A: Standard LMi/LMe security and authority values remain the same, which authorise users to the functions they are permitted to. Standard GIT security features are applicable at the local GIT repository level.
