Problem:

While running Impact Analysis, the data returned showed that there were some commented out lines of code returned, should this happen?  Also, the split screen to show the lines of code along with the analysis was not correct, why?

Resolution:

If an impact analysis or any other TOOL (Metrics, Function Point Analysis, Scripts) are run, the project needs to be UP TO DATE.  This being said, the administrator needs to ensure that the project or the ADMIN is in LOADED status and the USER is updated by the ADMIN.   What this means is:

If project is shared:

1.  go into project as ADMIN

2.  MAKE project

3.  Project/UpdateShared

everything should work properly

If project is stand alone:

1.  go into project

2.  MAKE project

everything should work properly.
