How to perform a DB Update?

Resolution:

There are two ways to invoke the DB Update application:

• Start the standalone DB Update tool (db_update.exe) from the DB Update folder on the Enterprise View installation CD.
• Log on to Navigator with the ADMIN user, then select DB Update from the Configuration Manager tab. Type in the password: updateadmin.

The Database Udpate Tool:

• On the first tab “Edit update file”, you can see a list of DB Updates, where the most recent one is at the bottom. This list is in the db_update.bin file, in the directory where the client side executables are installed (e.g. C:\\Program Files\\Micro Focus\\Enterprise View) and in the DB Update folder on the installation CD.
• On the second tab “Perform Schema Update”, you can see the current DB update level for your schema. Click “Apply Updates” to perform the update.
