So I'm learning Rumba for my job, and the reference materials are sparse garbage (and MicroOffice's wiki is negligent on Rumba).

I've been getting by learning from recordings, trying vba, and sometimes getting answers from others' questions here; now I need to ask my own.

I need to pull a date from Rumba, and 30 days, and spit the new date back out. This is what I tried to use:

***********************************

Dim Shipdate, ETAdate As Date
EMReadScreen Readout,8,11,33
Shipdate = Readout

ETAdate = DateAdd("d",30,ShipDate)

***********************************

Unfortunately, Rumba 7.4 doesn't recognize the DateAdd function.

I then tried a much more convoluted attempt to convert the day, month, and year to integers, add 30 and adjust month/year when necessary with ifs. I got it to work, but couldn't get it to return the "mm/dd/yy" format that I got the initial ShipDate in.

HELP?!

I would recommend to use  a more up to date version of rumba to  learn.  Version 7.4  is 14 years  old.
Newer Rumba versions support  Microsoft VBA via the VBA-Addon.

Then you can  use the DateAdd Function und reuse your MS Office VBA knowledge

Sample code  for rumba 9.5:

Sub Macro()
Dim DateOne As Date    ' Declare variables.
Dim IntervalType As String
Dim Number As Integer
IntervalType = "d"
DateOne = InputBox("Enter a date")
Number = InputBox("Enter number of days to add")
Msg = "New date: " & DateAdd(IntervalType, Number, DateOne)

MsgBox Msg

End Sub

I wouldn't have asked if I wasn't a cubicle jockey stuck with a dinosaur.
If I had the power to persuade my employer to upgrade their system, I wouldn't even be using Rumba, yet here I am.
But hey, thanks for your help.
