In October, I had the pleasure of hosting the “From Chaos to Clarity” webinar, where we explored how Rocket’s legal team revolutionized its contract management process. The session featured Alisa De Dominicis, Senior Director of Legal Operations, who shared her firsthand experience tackling a massive document review challenge following a major acquisition. By using "smart extraction," the system automatically pulls key metadata such as effective dates, termination clauses, and counterparty names from millions of documents. This reduced the initial review time from years to a matter of months and saved an estimated 80% of the time spent just looking for documents.
- Democratizing data access frees up expert resources. By leveraging a natural language, GenAI-powered tool, Rocket Content Smart Chat, routine questions are handled by junior resources. This shifted ~70% of the routine legal work away from senior attorneys, allowing them to focus on more strategic, high-value tasks instead of repetitive information retrieval.
- Security and governance can be built-in, not bolted on. A major concern was ensuring that sensitive contract information remained secure. By integrating with Okta for multi-factor authentication, by redacting sensitive information, and with role-based and feature-level controls, the team had all they needed to ensure that only authorized legal staff could access sensitive information and limit access to AI query tools, maintaining compliance and mitigating risk.
Ultimately, the webinar demonstrated that with the right tools, what seems like an insurmountable challenge can become a significant competitive advantage. The ability to quickly extract, analyze, and secure critical information transforms how a business operates, moving teams from chaos to clarity. It was inspiring to see a real-world example of how enterprise AI backing a powerful content solution delivers such a powerful return on investment by optimizing processes and empowering teams to work smarter.
