Release notes for Git 2.3.5 for zOS.pdf says on page 2:

perl 5.24 Note: This version of perl is not yet appropriate for general use.

Is this still true?

Hi Manfred,

You can use Perl 5.24.0 independently. But it isn’t a GA version.

When do you expect it to go GA?
I know at least for us, we can not put non GA code into production

You can use Perl 5.24.0 independently. But it isn’t a GA version.

Still confused.

Perl 5.24 is available as download, i.e. outside of git. Therefore, I would have assumed it is GA.
