I have miniconda installed, and trying to download the git client for z/OS.  But, when I search for it, I get a message:

PackageNotFoundError: The following packages are not available from current channel:

- git

Current channels:

- https://repo.anaconda.com/pkgs/main/noarch
- https://repo.anaconda.com/pkgs/free/zos-z
- https://repo.anaconda.com/pkgs/free/noarch
- https://repo.anaconda.com/pkgs/r/zos-z
- https://repo.anaconda.com/pkgs/pro/zos-z
- https://repo.anaconda.com/pkgs/pro/noarch

To search for alternate channels that may provide the conda package you're
looking for, navigate to

https://anaconda.org

and use the search bar at the top of the page.

Not sure what I am doing wrong.

Hi Jerry Edgington

You may have forgotten to specify the channel:
conda search git -c zoss-appdev
As another option can add the channel to your .condarc with the following command:
conda config --add channels zoss-appdev
and try 'conda search git '

Thanks,
Alexander
