Hello,

I installed R3.3.2 on z/OS V2.1.
It includes the following packages.
rmarkdown
knitr

These are very useful packages but these require “Pandoc” which is a utility for document converter.

Is it possible to use Pandoc on z/OS USS ?

Pandoc is not supported on z/OS. Unfortunately, porting Pandoc to z/OS will first require that the Haskell language be ported to z/OS. We may try to do this later in 2017.

Still no progress on haskell/pandoc. 1st priority is a full release of python v3.6 with data science package support via anaconda. GA date September 8th. I expect work on haskell/pandoc/RStudio to resume late this year.
