Hi Team,

We recently migrated from Uniface v10.3 to v10.4, and after completing the migration and configuration setup, we've encountered an issue. The problem arises specifically when the application is accessed from outside the server (where the application is deployed).

When executing the xmlload statement, the application crashes, and no logs are generated beyond that point. We have attached the relevant logs for reference.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue or can provide insights into resolving this? Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Hitesh

We had the same problem on one client.

Try uninstalling the Microsoft Visual c++ 2015-2022 Redistributable and then reinstalling it (32 and 64 bit) from https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170

regards,

Iain

As an added side note, this solution has resolved the same issue one of my colleagues recently had when trying to open up the 10.4.03 IDF and found it crashing each time on the internal use of the xmlload. I had opened a case with support on this and was able to apply this solution to resolve it on my own. Let's hope someone from the lab sees this and makes a note about it. The xmlload issue in a runtime environment has only affected 1 workstation so far (out of ~100) and one developer (out of 4) so far. At least I know what to look for in the future as we push 10.4.x out to more customers/developers.

Well, I did point it out to Erik Z, the other day.
We think it MIGHT be causing issues with userver at a customer site, and are arranging to get the DLLs updated to see if the problem (semi-random crashes) goes away.
If it does, I might be tempted to include these as part of my installer, and remove the .bat uniface ship.

Is it within the exact conditions? log files show the same information and crash at the xmlload?

Yes, the same logs are being generated. The only difference is that the application works correctly on the local system and server, but crashes in the Citrix environment. I have also updated Citrix workspace.
