Hi,

this week we migrated to Uniface 10.4.02.052.

When I press the F1 key in the IDE then the CHM-File opens.

IDE.asn has the correct entry:

[LOGICALS]

DOCUMENTATION_LOCATION = https://docs.rocketsoftware.com

[SETTINGS]
$trc_start uhttp.log
$trc_levels 9U

When I take the URL from uhttp.log

METHOD=HEAD, URL=https://docs.rocketsoftware.com/csh?context=10385^&pubname=uniface_104

I will get no results:

When I remove the "^" after the context number (in this case 10385)  the context is shown as expected.

Is this a BUG or am I the only one with this problem?

Kind regards

Norbert

Yeah,

I've had the same issue since the patch, but I hadn't explored it yet to see whether my IDE settings had somehow changed.

A change in the http protocol is preventing help calls (F1) to reach the online documentation, as a fallback Uniface will open the chm file.
This is not related to a specific Uniface patch.

Rocket is investigating a solution, however reverting to the older http protocol is not an option.

Hi Jonke,

has the change of the http protocol anything to do with the fact, that i mostly can't get to the community site from my laptop at the company?

It is marked as unsave.

Regards

Norbert

The change to http/2 is quite recent so if you have always had connection issues, there is no relation. If you could reach online documentation before without problems I would think there might be a relation yes. I am also not sure documentation and community website are both using http/2.

Are there any tools that i can use to test, why i can't call the community site from the company,

so i can tell the network administrators, what they have to do that i can get to the site?

When i am in homeoffice (like today) i have no problems when i call the site directly from my private Laptop.

Hi Norbert

Maybe related to this old problem with CHM-files?

With Uniface 10.4.03-002 a fix for this problem is available, unfortunately we can not retrofit older installations since the fix is in the UHTTP protocol used by Uniface.
