We use Visual Cobol 7 in Visual Studio 2019, patch update 14. When changing Git branch we sometimes get the following message:

As usual, it doesn't happen every time. We haven't been able though to see any pattern.

If you click on Cancel nothing happens. The only way to continue is to finish the process in Task Manager and restart VS. After that you can switch branch.

Hi Jens,

This error has not yet been reported to us so I have no workaround. The error message appears to be directly from Visual Studio and after Googling the problem I did find several references to where this problem occurred when using non-COBOL projects such as C++ etc. A couple suggestions were to disable your anti-virus program for the project directories and Microsoft had suggested that a customer upgrade VS2019 to VS2022 where the Git interface has been improved.
