I tried this product once, several years ago. I found it difficult to understand with inadequate documentation; hence for me, impossible to implement. So much so, that I gave up. At this point, my software is still in character base so I would be willing to give it another try if my two main complaints have been addressed.

@Kevin Hond  The screens are pretty easy to develop but for me it's the matrix that get be confuse.   Yes, the documentation could use a little cleaning up and be more of a how to.

    Hello Peter,
AccuTerm web supports GUI in it's current release. Were you looking for any specific feature or just wanted confirmation about support for GUI in the product?

I would love to hear more details if you have used AT.IO (AccuTerm web) and have more feedback you'd like to share.

    Kind regards,

Are you still offering a free try-and-buy? I tried your product several (seems like over 5) years ago and was unable to make it work for me, further, I was unable to get the help that I needed to make it work. This, at least in part, was the understandability of the documentation. Frankly, I was then and now simply trying to put a new face on my character based software.
If you do offer a try-and-buy, how long would it be for and what would be the cost of a two user license after that. I do not market my software, it is only for my personal use at home.
    Thank-you

Thanks Hernando - is accuterm 8 synonymous with "AT.IO" then? We are
looking specifically for info on using this code on a web application. Do
you have documentation / examples / demos specific to such use? And can you
tell me the last release date of "AT.IO" / Accuterm 8?

    Kathleen

    Hello Kathleen,
AccuTerm 8 is larger than AT.IO. It covers all three AccuTerm form factors (desktop, web and mobile). The documentation covers subjects such an installation and general use of AT. As far as the GUI goes, the doc is the same for desktop and web. There are some differences in the web version but they are very close.

A couple of notes on AT.IO:
    • It requires a server side component you need to install. You will need to contact sales to download the server component as it is currently not available in RBC.
    • End users of AT.IO need to register at accuterm.io

One resource that has a lot of How-To information on AccuTerm is the AT user forum. We're keeping this as a knowledge base but it is read only. Rocket will not monitor any activity, or answer questions on the knowledge base site. For new threads, questions and discussion please use the MV Tools sub-forum. In the future, we may move the content from the knowledge base to the Rocket forum.

    Hello @Hernando Borda!
I have not used AT.IO I'm still on the older version.  Thank you for confirming that the current version supports the web.

Are you saying that we can write GUI programs and it behaves on a web browsers with the same UI of a desktop?   If so, I would like to see some kind of education documentation or video like in previous versions by Zumasys or Pete Schellenbach Associates.   If the how-to documentation exist can you post a link so we can get educated on how it works?   Thanks.

I too, would be interested in any available 'how-to' documentation. I had posted previously on this forum regarding the lack of adequate documentation that I had experienced several years ago when I first tried to 'go gui' using Accuterm. Please keep me posted on any responses that you received on this post. Thanks

Not getting much of an answer on here about web accuterm. How can I tell if I am on the AT.IO latest release? And can anyone tell me when the latest release came out? A demo of what is possible would be ideal here.....

    Hello Peter,
Yes, you can write GUI programs with AccuTerm web and it behaves the same as AccuTerm desktop. One difference is a web browser doesn't offer the same level of integration with the desktop as a browser is sandboxed for security purposes.

For documentation and how-to-s I recommend:
    • The AccuTerm documentation available in the Rocket documentation portal. The link on this post has the query to the full set of AccuTerm documentation topics.
    • For How-To information on AccuTerm you can also use the AT user forum. We're keeping this as a knowledge base but it is read only. Rocket will not monitor any activity, or answer questions on the knowledge base site. For new threads, questions and discussion please use the MV Tools sub-forum. In the future, we may move the content from the knowledge base to the Rocket forum.

    @Aaron Hermawan
Thank you for that clear description of the difference between AT8 an AT.IO.  For my purposes AT8 is what I need.  Most of the users that I deal with are warehouse workers with no web access.

Will AT8 have an EOL (end-of-life) and force a migration to AT.IO?

Yes, https://forum.asent.com/forums.html    is a great resource.

    Thanks.

    Hello Peter,
No plans to EOL AccuTerm 8. BTW, AccuTerm.IO (or AccuTerm web) is a feature of AT8.
