UNI-37044 - On Linux, the RMS server doesn't automatically start after a reboot, if it was installed without the cloud component (SCP) for on-premise licenses only.
Solution available in RMS:240821
Description:
This applies to systems that use 'systemd' to manage services.
The reason the RMS service doesn't start automatically after a reboot is that the file rms.service is missing some lines at the end.
Environment:
+Uniface: Not applicable
+Sentinel Version: 9.8 and 10.0
+Operating System: Linux systems that use systemd
+Database: DBMS independent
Workaround:
As a workaround you can edit the rms.service file yourself. This file can be found in the directory /etc/systemd/system.
Add the following lines at the end:
[Install]
WantedBy=default.target
After doing that, enable it using the following systemd command:
systemctl enable rms
Root privileges are required to do these things.
Notes:
This problem is solved.
