Anyone seen or have any information on how or what could cause the option to create a new VBA macro to not be available in Rumba 10.1 SP1?  Under Tools - New MAcro - i can see EML and RMC options.  there is no option for VBA.  Also when i add the VBA Ediotr buttion to my toolbar, it is grayed out.  it is like Rumba cannot open or see the VBA editor to create a macro.#Rumba

I have trouble computing two numbers where one can be a negative number. All numbers are kept as text.What is happening... All the values are kept as text in the field of type PIC X(...) VALUES SPACES. I have a procedure that will find the start of the value. For example: _ _ _ _ _ 2 3 4 . 32_ _ _ _ _  - 19. 32  (can be also negative number)  ( underscores are representing spaces) Adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing everything works fine with a positive number. I am trying to run a IMS Batch program but also accessing the XDB(DB2) tables. I get the SQLCODE=-1100, error when the program reaches EXEC SQL statement. As per documentation this translates to X100 error which means " XDB client-side software could not communicate with the XDB Server. Check to make sure that the XDB Server is up. If it is up and listening on the appropriate communications protocol, contact Micro Focus Technical Support. " The XDB server is up and seems to be working fine when I use the GUI version. We are currently using a git protocol helper to allow us (in ZMF R&D) to synchronize off platform development, managed by git in a local repo, with the overarching control provided by ChangeMan ZMF. The target ZMF package is presented as remote repo to local git by using a ‘url’ of  ZMF://<target ZMF profile>/<target ZMF package>   For example, we use:   ZMF://PRODZMF/CZMF125     to address package CZMF000125 in our production ZMF subsystem.   We can then use clone, pull/fetch and push  to synchronize change between the local repo and the ZMF package.  The ZMF package is the ‘gold code’. We have put in place local regression checking as part of this support and the git merge process can be used when refreshing the latest code from the ZMF package into the local repo. Hello, I am integrating our application with an existing online application and I have the following problem: Communication is done correctly and the response comes in JSON format. When I make the request and the response has only one record, I've already been able to access the data for that record. The problem occurs with the execution of the instruction and the answer is several registers. The example is importing existing reservations in the online application and the answer is four records. I cannot convert this data to four records that can be "worked".In this case I'm using the RestSharp interface Once again, I ask for your help in solving this problem. Hi, we use multiline entry fields like this: 01  t01-table. 02  t01-record occurs 99 indexed by t01. 03 t01-text pic x(80). 02 entry-field using multiple t01-record use-return ... Every line of the entry-field is a record in the table. But is there a way to tell if the "line break" results from a word-wrap or if the user has hit enter ?

Can anyone tell me a way to determine if a newly opened wIntegrate window is off of the viewable monitor screen? i.e. I command wIntegrate to open a new window but it is partially off of the screen, then I have to use the mouse to physically move it so the whole window is viewable. I have scanned both the 'winthost' and 'wintscr' manuals but have not been able to find a solution. I'm wondering if there is a solution, or perhaps additional documentation that could be helpful. We use the WIN.LOOKUP subroutine often to provide pop-up boxes to allow for list selection by the user.  There is one main limitation for which we have not found a work around and have been trying for many years..  We are using v6.4.0.When the list exceeds 9 choices (and some of ours have 50+), we need the routine to allow for a 2-digit user entry.  Unfortunately, it will not, so to get to "85", a user must type "8" SEVEN times.  This shortcoming almost always causes entry errors and/or unnecessary  help-desk calls.Has anyone found a way to handle this requirement?  A different subroutine?  or is it just a limitation has has not ever been addressed?Appreciate any thoughts.------------------------------Nelson SchrothpresidentC3CompleteShop LLCHarrison OH US------------------------------

We keep seeing emails that there is a HOTFIX for Log4j Security Issue.  If so, do we have to request the hotfix?#ChangeManZMF

Rocket has moved to a new system – conda – for downloading, installing, and upgrading all z/OS open source ports developed by Rocket.  With conda, a single command can replace dozens of steps and commands previously required to install some open source products.  For example, installing z/OS Git with its dependencies formerly required over thirty steps but now can be accomplished with a single conda command. Conda is an open source tool ideally suited for delivery and deployment of software on the mainframe due to its channel concept and multiple types of channels supporting varying degrees of security including file channels for air-gapped systems. Rocket has set up two internet channels from which you can download z/OS open source ports using conda – one public and open to all, the other a secure channel server on premise at Rocket available only to Rocket customers on a support plan. z/OS Miniconda is a free bundle of open source containing everything you need to run conda on z/OS.
