I have an entry box, which I use to create a search and put the results in a selection box.  For instance, user may type in 'EX' and get all of the listings that have that combo.I want the users to be able to search for more than one combo, if they like, but I cannot get the selection box to clear.  I have tried initializing the table in cobol,  using delete-list-item, initializing in the dialog etc,  but the earlier entries won't go away. I see that this question is raised before, for some years ago.We use C$SOCKET to upload and download files from at FTP server. One of the partners will now transfer to SFTP.Short question:Is this possible with C$SOCKET in newer versions?And if so - does anyone have tips for doing it?

Hi Unifacers,I need to convert to a struct a not fully well-formed xml (it is originated from a web page I do not control neither I have possibility to correct).The error causing the not well-formed condition is not bothering my current needs: it is related to external web page layout while I am interested in data included into this page. Detailing the specific condition I am confronting with: into this page a field is formatted using a "qualified name" and this qualified name has structure: prefix:value:value. The double colon syntax is the error because as far as i know xml is accepting only a single column in qualified names. The detailed error is:-1503 Attribute qname beginning with 'data-reviews:filter-action' is invalid!xmltostruct requires to have well-formed xml otherwise is throwing this -1503 error.Is there ANY possibility to have xmltostruct completing (with warnings!) its work in a condition like the one described? Using BIML to create SSIS packages with a UniVerse source connection. I can build a package manually and connect successfully using the rocket ado .net driver. However when attempting to automate the build of the packages through BIML, I receive a failure at the AdoNetSource connection string. The connection string requires a "ServerType" to be defined. When the AdoNetSource attempts to connect using the connection string, it fails with error message "keyword is not supported: 'servertype'". I get the same error when converting a working package to BIML through the 'convert package to BIML' option. When attempting to rebuild the package from the automated BIML script, the same error message occurs with the supported keyword of 'servertype'.  Has anyone come across this before and found a workaround? I need to continue to use the ADO Net provider as it is significantly faster than other options (ODBC and OLEDB). A similar message is posted on the BIML forum as I suspect Varigence does n

Problem: Compiler error COBES0100 : DB2 Parser error: Syntax error near.... is occurring when the optional INTO or FROM keywords are omitted from EXEC SQL INSERT and EXEC SQL DELETE statements.  Solution: In later versions of Enterprise Developer like 5.0, the SQL directive STRICTPARSE is on by default, and it flags statements that do not compile on the mainframe, like INSERT without the INTO or DELETE without the FROM. Adding the NOSTRICTPARSE directive resolves the issue.       #MFDS#EnterpriseDeveloper

Problem: In the EDVS2019 5.0 PU08 IDE, COBOL programs are opening in the binary editor or notepad instead of the default COBOL editor. The option to open the files with the COBOL editor is not available. Solution: This appears to be a VS2019 bug. Problem: ES Region going into a "Not Responding" state and several of the following errors are seen in the ES console log: CASKC0023E Unable to locate asee Service Request Handler for request    Solution: The CASKC0023E message can occur when an incorrect url is passed in to the ES Web Services listener, and  we have seen this issue occur when security tools like vulnerability scanners fire large numbers of invalid HTTP requests to the listeners and cause SEPs in Enterprise Server to hang and regions to go into a "Not Responding" state.     #MFDS#EnterpriseDeveloper

Problem: 'Could not impersonate the client during assembly file operation' error message when publishing a stored procedure in Enterprise Developer. New to Visual Cobol 6, in MF Workbench 3.2 it was simple to change the COBOL.DIR file but I cannot find it in VC6.

Is there a way to trigger an event when the frame of a windows form has been clicked? I am able to trigger a click event when the user clicks anywhere on the form but it does not work if the user clicks on the form's frame ( this is the section where the Minimize, Maximize, and the Close controls are located) see attached screen shot.

Hi all,My organization is currently moving parts of our infrastructure to a new Windows Server 2019 production machine, and we're currently stuck getting Reflection Workspace to connect to one of our remote mainframes from the new environment.We have a seemingly identical Reflection installation on our old box, and it's able to to reach the remote system using the same session file, so I'm not sure exactly what's going wrong with the new installation.  The exact error is as follows:"A timeout occurred during a call to transport code"And it comes up when the session files is first opened, and on any subsequent attempts to connect to the host; the connection is never established.  The attempted connection is through telnet, with the host address explicitly specified.  Outside of Reflection, we're able to both ping and open a telnet connection to the host from Powershell or the command window successfully. (I should also note that this is a bare setup of Windows Server
