What happens when doing a rollback of a dist. set from production if the set was never deployed?

Hi Dean.

Thx for your question.  We may need a little more context and confirmation of the product (is LMi/RDOi or LMe/RDOe?).

If a set was not deployed, rollback/backout should not be enabled via RDOx (RDOi|e or the portal options in RDOp).  Examples below for completed Install and a 'New' set...

May need to open a case with support and we'd be happy to dig in to your question.

Thanks in advance,

d

Incomplete set options (e.g. 'New') - 'next' option available for 'context' of the set status.

Completed set - Back out.

We have the upgrade of Aldon on an iSeries. Version 10.3-01. I'm asking the admin team about LMi/RDOi or LMe/RDOe.

Hey, Dean.  Thx for the update (RDOi v10.3 on IBM i).

My previous screenshots were from our DevOps portal (RDOp) and were for RDOi deployment sets...

Links below to the documentation on the process, but the status of the set (and a few other settings) will determine if a set is 'eligible' for Backout option.

If the Deployment Profile has the option enabled to 'archive' the replaced objects during deployment (e.g. 'save last 10 sets for backout archive'. You can control the number of deployments eligible for backout with the Number of deployments to archive setting for the Deployment profile) and the set was installed successfully (and the user has authority to manage deployments), the Backout option should be enabled for a completed/installed set.

More here on the feature in the documentation Deployment Reference.

Please let us know if/how we may assist you further.

Best,

Dale
